February 20, 200719 yr The bold..... Yes I'm a recent member. He needs to go. As far as players getting better though.....that's not foolish. There have been numerous players who have basically stayed the same over their UK careers. Shag, Woo, Thomas, Perry, Rondo, Carruth, Azebuike, Morris, Hayes, Fitch, Bogans, Prince. Sure numbers get better with age, but it's virtually impossible for 18 year olds to get worse playing that much. There is a problem with player development. Guys aren't improving like they should at UK. Granted that is my opinion, but it's based on facts. No "experiments" have worked. So if you can't use stats to gauge if a player is improving over their care then what can you use? How do you gauge a players performance?
February 20, 200719 yr That turnover at the end of the Tennessee game was vast improvement. Along with the 2 points he scored the first 30 minutes of the game. He plays and shoots more and is a main focus of the offense. His underachievement is a BIG reason UK isn't very good---- Do you dispute that? I agree but would include Morris and Bradley in that comment also.

February 20, 200719 yr It's amazing how you know exactly what both Tubby and Crawford think. Crawford has improved since his freshman season, anyone who can't see that is clueless. I have never seen evidence that Joe Crawford thinks.....especially on a basketball court. Well coached players think.

No way is that an indication of someone not improving. Redick made some bad turnovers his senior year, so I guess he didn't improve any either. Crawford is not IMO the reason for UK's struggles. It is inconsistant play from the PG and post that is killing them. Bradley/Jasper make way too many mental mistakes and Morris just doesn't care at all. That is UK's major area of deficiency IMO.

Regardless of how good the coach is, some players are just flat out dumb. Unfortunately for UK, the entire Junior class falls under that generalization.

Some players never care no matter what you do. (I think a Ricky Williams is a good example of this) Some players don't care because of the coach. Some care because of the coach.
