JV Colonels just absolutely bullied the JV Birds in Ft. Thomas. 30-16. The Birds last 2 TD's were garbage time in the last 4 minutes of Q4 against the 2nd string with in the last 30 seconds. Game was never in doubt or ever close at all. Roll Colonels!!!

Kind of curious about this post. Why does Lorenzen become the difference if wet? How about putting Kremer and Lorenzen in the backfield together with Armstrong and take your chances. Any of the 3 a

Prayers to the Colonel players tonight, I'm hearing a Senior starter lost his Father unexpectedly last night. Heavy stuff for those boys.

I thought JV was 2nd team? So CC has a 2nd team JV team? Wow! Their deeper than I thought!

I was laughing and rolling the whole time so funny is a pretty spot on characterization. I know some Bird folks earlier in thread were hanging their hats on the JV cruising and the sweep happening so it is funny that it was so far off from that.

Deservedly so! The Colonels came out fighting like it was their rival St. Henry! 😜

250 yards rushing with 5 TDs

Well done!!!!

The biggest question mark all off season was our OLine, a performance like last night has to get you thinking that piece might be OK.

I realize it really helps having studs like Kremer, Williams, Lorenzen and Armstrong running behind them.

Congrats on the win Bluebirds.

You need to grow some thicker skin. NO ONE hung their hat on anything or said the birds would cruise to anything. You know everyone can see what we wrote, right?

The comment was very factual. IF they won. They didn't. You can read, right?

Enjoy the win. The kids on the field earned it.

Interested in how tomorrow's JV game plays out in regards to the trajectory of the rivalry. Freshman Birds put a running clock on the Colonels earlier in the year. If the JV Birds can win, that will be a dominant sweep across all three levels.

Funny again. I can read and sorry you cannot and sorry you cannot understand context. I had no issue with your post because it was factual and could/would have been true. I have zero issue with the truth. Post away....

Understand that you like to post stuff like "beating your chest' when someone says something you disagree with because you have a short fuse or something , but your post was entirely factual about the potential for a "dominant sweep' and "running clock on the Freshman' and that would be hanging hats. No issue with either of those statements because they could be/are true. My post simply refuted yours which is a hard pill for you to swallow I know, so swallow away…….and if I have thin skin, yours must be microscopically thin.

The JV Colonels earned the win for sure just as the Varsity and Frosh birds did for sure, as no one has ever implied or said anything different on those 2 wins as we would not your fragile ego to be damaged over a High School Football game.

You may not have liked the results of the JV, but no one cares. Just like I did not like the results of the other 2 games and no one at all cares about that and I am totally good with that. You post when your team wins and you post your desire for all your teams to win and I post when my team wins.....see how that works. So settle down just a bit. Time for an Adult Soda. Cheers! Roll Colonels!!!

I think you got into those adult sodas entirely too early today. Your level of smugness is off the charts. Your ability to make outrageous assumptions about what other people "imply' is equally outlandish.

I appreciate the effort though. You go right ahead and hang your hat on this victory.

I'll let our boys enjoy the others (and the future).

I didn't see the game and things can certainly look different and give a different perspective than reading the play by play. After reading through the thread play by play, the game didn't feel as lopsided as many of the post game comments made it sound. CCH made two big mistakes early and that put them in a 14-0 hole. The rest of the half played out as a 7-3 advantage to CCH getting to a halftime score of 17-7. The second half, Highlands outscores CCH 21-13.

These teams may be closer than it looks and feels today. I don't expect CCH to beat Highlands in a rematch, but it won't shock me if it happens. CCH needs to find answers on offense. That is the key to the rest of their season. Get more from the offense and things will start looking a lot different.

I wouldn't count out Paducah Tilghman, they are looking like a legit contender.

Good point!

Cov Cath has a lot they can improve on and the talent to do so in my opinion. It was 38-7 with about 8:00 left in the fourth and the Birds were working in backups. It was pretty darn lopsided, especially after the 21-0 3rd quarter. Covington Catholic has protected the QB all season much better than they did last night. They gave up 2-3 sacks with a 3 man pressure last night , he took a beating (kudos to him for fighting as long as he did.)

This! I thought Highlands looked a good amount better than CCH. Could CCH beat Highlands, maybe one out of twenty. Again, the Birds looked superior and they probably had more gas in the tank if they needed it.
