February 14, 200719 yr Deuce you know they are in with how they have played this year don't give me that. I am not saying it doesn't help them but in no way shape or form is it why they will get in this year. :thumb: Unless there is a huge collapse
February 14, 200719 yr Deuce you know they are in with how they have played this year don't give me that. I am not saying it doesn't help them but in no way shape or form is it why they will get in this year. Maybe I should have clarified...Im not saying the ONLY reason they'll get in is because of their rep...My point is that if there were two teams with pretty identical resume's (UK and another smaller school), UK would get the nod over them, because they are UK...JMO.

Obviously. The same thing would happen to UL.
February 14, 200719 yr Just as UofL would.... Obviously. The same thing would happen to UL. Gonna have to call Shenanigans (bugatti 2002) on that one...
February 14, 200719 yr No way. Big name school or no name school?? Who will bring more money. I didn't say a no name school... Tell me this, when was the last time UL got a seed higher than everybody (including UL fans) thought they would?
February 14, 200719 yr I didn't say a no name school... Tell me this, when was the last time UL got a seed higher than everybody (including UL fans) thought they would? Now we are talking about seeding. You were talking about just getting into the tourney.
February 14, 200719 yr Now we are talking about seeding. You were talking about just getting into the tourney. What seed you get is part of getting in the tourney...
February 14, 200719 yr What seed you get is part of getting in the tourney... If you are referring to two seasons ago (which is about the only one you can be referring to), UL may have been a 4 seed, but it was pretty much known they were thrown in with a very weak #1 seed and very inconsistent #5 seed, many were still hesitant with their conference... plus, playing in Nashville on the first weekend was a nice consolation prize.

UL should have been higher than a 4, ESPECIALLY in that bracket...Definitley should have been a 3, maybe even a 2.
February 14, 200719 yr UL should have been higher than a 4, ESPECIALLY in that bracket...Definitley should have been a 3, maybe even a 2. "They maybe should have been 3, even a 2" talk was well compensated by where they were sent and who they were scheduled to play. I do not think the committee always puts teams where they believe they are ranked (i.e. look at UT last season being a 2 seed).
February 14, 200719 yr The sad thing is, both teams still "have work to do" to get in the tournament.
