If you go by the ones where there were some higher ranked teams that fell a seed line, the South would project to be the toughest, as both Nebraska and Vandy were anticipated to be a bit higher than where they were, giving them five teams that were projected as top four seeds.

The West might project as the weakest in that regard, as Purdue and Arkansas both climbed up a seed line over their projections into the top 4 seeds.

A massive, massive choke from Duke.  UConn deserves a lot of credit for their fight, and they put the pressure on, but Duke absolutely blew it on that last sequence.

Potential storylines that I'm sure they never gave any thought to:

  • St. John's/Duke potential Sweet 16 matchup. Pitino against Duke
  • Arkansas/Wisconsin potential second round game. Would be first time Cal sees Wisconsin since the undefeated team fell to them in 2015 Final Four, and they had the dramatic matchup the year before as well.
  • Tennessee and Kentucky in the same Sweet 16 pod, again.
  • Florida and Vandy potentially on track to have an almost immediate rematch of the SEC tournament semis, in the Sweet 16.
  • Speaking of Florida, a rematch of last year's title game potentially on tap in Elite 8.

According to CBS the East is the hardest bracket with a score of 31 and the South was 2nd with a score of 32 followed by the Midwest 36 and the West 37.

Looks like WAB was top metric used because Louisville was #23 overall team and WAB was #24. NET rating and Quad 1 wins would be a 5 seed. Kentucky #25 overall team and #26 in WAB.

It's interesting to me because the NCAA chair said Miami (OH) wasn't the last team in, and then this seed list shows exactly that.

Forget the seeds, it's show and tell time.

They've always talked out of both sides of their mouth.

Alabama starting PG Aden Holloway arrested on drug charges. That could put a damper on a lot of teams post season, but if Oats didn't suspend a player for assisting in a murder there is no way he suspends Holloway for a pound of weed.

This will be interesting, but I'm thinking you are correct.

Nebraska looked rough for a while, but they're lighting it up now.  30-19 w/ just over 5 minutes left in the first half.

My NCAA fun lasted about 2 hours.  My bracket had Wisconsin in the final game.?
