One player beat UK tonight - Cyril. No Quaintance = big problems against physical big men.

9 points combined from Moreno, Garrison, and Dioubate.

Even with the team playing better over the last month or so. This team simply isn’t that fun of a team to watch. Also two years in a row watching for the most part bad defense. It’s just frustrating. It’s also the first time we lost at home to Georgia, since Billy G was the coach. 

Two point guards 6-19 from the field, and at least ten of those shots were terrible decisions, out of the flow of offense and had a feel of “get mine.”

For whatever reason I just did not have a good feeling going into last night's game. Dioubate is far too inconsistent at the 3 or 4 this season. Sure would have been nice to have had Caleb Wilson at the 4. I can't remember for certain, but I think our bench contributed 1 field goal for the entire game. That's just not going to get it done. 

Man, what an ugly watch. Glad I fell asleep at about 10:15 ?

Just a repeat of previous games.  It is what it is.

UK has played 26 games now. How many of those have they gotten behind double-digits? 15? If we are being real, UK probably has a couple more games they've won than they should have (could argue more). As I said, going into conference play, the only saving grace is that the league is down from last season. If this team were in last year's league, they would be around .500. There is still no team that scares me in the SEC.

Per ChatGPT, 12 games. They came back and won five of those (St. John's - trailed by 10, Mississippi State - trailed by 12, at LSU - trailed by 18, at Tennessee - trailed by 17, Tennessee - trailed by 14).  Kentucky never came back to take a lead after max deficit in any of the other games.  Trailed by 20 to Louisville, 24 to Michigan State, 37 to Gonzaga, 21 to Alabama, 28 to Vandy, 16 to Florida, and 12 to Georgia.

Regardless, way too many.

Honestly, I just don't see much improvement down the road.  It's looking like the name, Kentucky, does not attract solid recruits anymore, nor does the name Pope.  A program will not win big time going to the portal every year.

Sadly, that is not as bad as I thought. I assumed every game they lost (9), they'd gotten down by double-digits, and I saw the stat last night about the five times they came back and won when trailing by 10+, which leads the country. 

Again, 15-11 is probably more reflective of where this team should be. But, by hook or crook, the Cats are still in decent shape on the conference front.

The sad part is this was also a problem last year too, in regards to getting down double digits in games. I am not sure if Popes game plan going into games stink, does a bad job getting guys ready to play or what. However, it has been a trend now both years for him. Not being good defensively either year, also doesn’t help.

Also, throw in Jelavic and those 4 who played combined a total of 77 minutes only had 13 points. Georgia's Cyrill outscored all 4 of them in only 26 minutes played.
