ESPN put out today the top 100 ranked 2026 Free Agents. They ranked Safety Bryan Cook as the #22 ranked free agent. The ranked Edge rusher Boye Mafe as the #26 ranked free agent.

Trey Hendrickson ranked #1 overall.

Bryan Cook ranked the #1 Safety available.

Mafe ranked the #5 Edge available.

Yep saw that the ESPN article was just ranking the top 100 free agents overall not per position. 

Not sure how Trey is ranked #1 when he was out for most of the last season.   I know he was productive 2 and 3 years ago, but he's past 30 and seems to be following the TJ Watt formula of spending more and more time hurt and standing on the sideline.

Missed Elliss and Chenal.  Either linebacker would have been acceptable here. Both seemed to get fair deals — nothing outrageous.  I haven’t looked much deeper but noticed a few corners I liked signed reasonable deals (Wooten and Wright).  

I considered day one a solid B.  Nothing fancy but solid.  Day two was an F.  Big fat F.  And I don’t want to see reports that the front office tried!

“Cincinnati pursued the former Pro Bowler aggressively after Minnesota released him,” Fowler said.

Allen, who recently turned 31, has been in the NFL since 2017.

He was drafted No. 17 overall by Washington in the 2017 NFL Draft.

After eight seasons in Washington, Allen spent the 2025 season with the Minnesota Vikings.

So we signed a guy off the scrap heap, ugh. His original team let him walk and his second team cut him after one year.  That is not a good look. Hopefully it works out.
