Who is the Steelers quarterback again? Oh yea just like last year they are letting Aaron Rodgers hold them hostage again. I remember Omar Kahn said back a month ago they would not have a drawn out qb issue this year like last year, but it is exactly doing it. An interview with trade pickup Michael Pittman Jr. said he had not even talked with Rodgers or Howard.

At the NFL Owners meeting they have passed the following 4 rule changes for the upcoming season.

The four new rule changes, according to longtime NFL insider Tom Pelissero:

1) To permit the kicking team to declare an onside kick at any time during the game.

2) To eliminate the kicking team’s incentive to intentionally kick the ball out of bounds when kicking off      from the 50-yard line.

3)To modify the kickoff alignment requirements for the receiving team players in the setup zone.

4) For one year only, to allow the NFL Officiating Department to correct clear and obvious misses made by on-field officials that impact the game, in the event that there is a work stoppage involving the game officials represented by the NFL Referees Association.

Bengals signed a CB lastname Taylor from the Chargers mainly a special teamer. They also signed Kyle Dugger from the Steelers a good backup.

My preferences at #10 considering players that might possibly still be there:

1. Sonny Styles 

2. Caleb Downs

3. Trade back and get more picks

I won't be upset if they get Mansoor Delane, but prefer more picks if that option is there.

I keep seeing more mocks where Bain is still there at 10. So I would have him at one, then Styles, then Downs. 
 

Which honestly if Bain or Styles isn’t there. Then I would look to trade back even before taking Downs. If you could possibly get more picks. Then you could still get possibly one of those corners, the Oregon Safety, or a DL still. 

Styles, Downs, and Bain are how I rank them.  Would have no problem taking any of the three at 10.

I also think Delane and McCoy are acceptable options at 10.  I just like the other three a lot more.

Styles and Downs are the two targets I want the most.  After those two I don’t mind trading down for picks, BUT they better have a plan with those picks. 

This team needs two guys with week one starting talent from this draft, however they can get it.  I am concerned trading down may not yield two starters.  

If the Bengals where smart which they are not. They would trade back and get some extra draft picks and draft Miami DE Akheem Mesidor.

If the Steelers were smart which they are not. They would just cut ties with Aaron Rodgers and not let him hold them hostage again for the 2nd straight year even after them saying it would not happen this year.

I am good with any of those three at #10. If they are gone, then trade back. McCoy is a scary health story. We have seen too many of those with the Bengals. Reports are some teams have McCoy completely off their board. If you want two starters, trading back is the best chance for that if the sure things are gone.

That is funny. The Steelers have already proven they can win with any QB! They won 5 straight with Fields!

I know McCoy blew out his knee but based on his pro day he posted some pretty impressive measurable and his tape from 2024 is the best in the draft.  I haven’t done a deep dive on his health history.  He was injured in January 2025.  I just assumed it was a business decision to not play last year so that he was fully healthy and ready for the draft.  Assuming the team’s medical staff clear him, I have no problem with him at ten.  But, again I don’t know the details that I am sure the NFL teams have.  I also put no stock in the idea that some NFL teams have him off the board.  Is he off the board because they don’t really need a CB so why risk it?  Is he off the board because it’s a crappy franchise that struggles to evaluate talent (you know like the Bengals)?  Is he off the board as a total smoke screen hoping he slides?   Lastly, I am concerned about training down because everything I have read says this isn’t a great draft but the real talent is in top 15 picks.
