If he is there, then chances are you will be right! If he isn't there, I just hope they don't reach and then pick another linebacker just because they need one. While it may be a second round pick, overall I still want them picking best player available.

Some of the "talking heads" on TV mostly agree with you but most of them usually hate on the Bengals anyway so it is hard to take them very serious.

I would never trade a top 10 pick away unless it is for more draft picks. Lawrence is on the down hill probably has 2 good years left.

I don't think it is that straightforward this year.  I am not sure an impact player for us is available at ten and Dex immediately makes us much better against the run.  And I have listened to so many "experts" opine that if the Bengals were just middle of the road on defense then blah blah blah.  Now I think we have a chance to be decent again on defense so I prefer to be optimistic here.  Additionally, we haven't been very good picking defensive players so all things considered I am optimistic about the trade.

1530 Tony Pike show just said their sources said the Bengals would have drafted Parker Woods from Clemson at 10.

Colin Cowherd just said he is not going to be critical of the Bengals for making this trade.  He basically sounded like a Bengals fan for once, Joe is in his window, the defense needs upgrades, Dex will be the best player on the defense, Dex is a "good kid" and he would want Dex on his team.  

That must have been tough for Colin, for once he said some positive things about the Bengals even if it came ten minutes after calling the Bengals a second tier organization when he was discussing the career of Carson Palmer.

If true it makes the Sexy Dexy trade even better!  Woods might be there for them in round two.  He is sliding and would have been a horrible reach.

I just read where if Andy Dalton had Chase and Higgins at receiver he would have won at least Superbowl.

By a lot, I would rather have Lawerence at this point in his career than either of the two CBs that I think would have been there at 10.  Again, I wanted Sykes, Downs, or Bain at 10, but I don’t think any of them will be there.  Maybe the Bengals overpaid a little, but I love that they are trying some different to improve the team this year.

I would have drafted Mesidor at DE.
