Looks like they played even better.  614 yards of offense with 537 rushing yards.

#13 Jax Crowe is a difference maker. He was out last year with an injury when they played CovCath. It was apparent last night he was on the field and making a lot of plays. I have watched this Boyle team all year and I feel after the LexCath game they went to their strength…. Running the ball. Their line is dominate and it showed again. Boyles defense is really good I felt they would hold their own and they did. As for the sportsmanship of Boyle and its coaches I am not real sure where people get this. It was a hard fought game and emotions on Boyles side were high because of the game last year. I would be interested to see what the coaches disagreed about at the end of the game.

CovCath not getting a TD in the first half was the turning point. Get that touchdown and it is a completely different game.

Congrats to Boyle. I like a game plan of run it until they stop it. In this game, the Colonels never did.

Cov Cath gave up almost 1000 yards rushing the last 2 games of the season. Not great! 

Being a alumni lineman I am super proud of these guys!   Highlands, St. X., Frederick Douglas, and now Covington Catholic they had dominated the line of scrimmage this season when healthy.  Last night was one for the record books!

Note…they only lose two of these guys. The right tackle was out and 66 filled in for him a lot and is only a sophomore. The big loss will be 73 a four year starter. Glad to see for next year 3 of these guys are back!

They made no defensive adjustments. Tell me what they did. That kid touting the ball for the Rebels had a career night not only for himself, but in the history of BC football. Embarrassing defensive performance. 

Let me be very clear- it's never the kid's fault. I blame the coaches who are the ones who are supposed to make the adjustments. EE has won at CCH. He is a heck of a coach. But next year we need a dynamic offense that does not just run the ball almost every play. 

As far as the defense is concerned, I am not saying staff changes are needed. Adjustments need to be had and the focal point needs to be stopping the run!

I watched the Johnson central game online, I knew Boyle would run on CovCath. Astonishing how little resistance they had against the run those two games.

Yeah if I recall, I don’t think Cov Cath blitz them one time and if you can’t stop the run playing your base defense, you gotta start sending the house. Now there was a couple time throughout the game where OLB did not have O/S contain and got nosey and their was safeties not making tackles. But that’s only a fraction of the rushing yards given up. This time of year, you can’t play conservative.
