Valley advanced to the second round for the first time since 2008 with a 46-0 shutout of Western Hills, a big achievement for the program.  It was their third consecutive shutout and fourth shutout of the year.  They'll meet Franklin County, a juggernaut that has advanced to at least the state semifinals in each of the previous five seasons.  The Flyers were likewise shutout winners, drubbing Waggener by a 65-0 score, their fifth shutout of the year and third in their last four games.

Franklin County, champions of the 4th district, are a perfect 11-0 on the season and closed the year as BGP's #5 team.  Valley, the 2 seed out of the 3rd district, is 9-2.  The two teams have not met since at least 1998.

Truthfully, the question in this game is not so much who wins, but by how many points Franklin County is going to win by.  Is there anything Valley can do to make this competitive?

Another week, another clock runner for the Flyers. They are 11-0 and have shown no signs of slowing down. This time a 65-0 win over Waggener. They threw for 255 and 6 TDs and held them under 25 yards total on the game.

Valley is 9-2 on the season. They are the 2 seed in their district though. They're led by Jamie Jones on the ground and through the air. He's thrown for 2300 with 27 TDs.

Is there any chance Valley can find success through the air and make it a game? Or is this another clock runner for Franklin?

Franklin County 100

Valley has some athletes. In my opinion, North Oldham was the best team they have played so far, and it wasn't even close. If County is focused and takes care of business, it should be a quick night and onto the third round. But this is why you put the pads on Friday nights; you have to show up and play ball.

RB Jamari Pennebaker that transferred to Valley from Holy Cross still hasn't played so not sure if he will be ruled eligible from KHSAA for this game.

He’d be a huge addition if eligible for this matchup.
