The #21 ranked Longhorns of Texas (4-2) (1-1) make their first trip to Lexington as a member of the SEC to take on the Wildcats of Kentucky (2-3) (0-3). This will be another tough one for the Cats as they look to break their 8 game SEC losing streak. The Cats are 1-10 in their last 11 SEC games their lone win was on Sept. 28, 2024, a win over Ole Miss. The Longhorns are coming in following a big win over Oklahoma 23-6. The game is set currently for a 7:00pm kick on ESPN. Go Cats!!

I can see Texas coming in slightly disinterested and not play very well.  If the Cats can keep from turning the ball over and can keep it a low scoring game they can pull one off.

The only outcome that would shock me, would be an offensive explosion from UK and a run away win.

Texas winning big, Texas winning a close game or Kentucky winning a close game, none of those would be shocking to me.

I expect a 34 to 10 Texas win.

I know they had a hiccup against Florida, but the Texas defense is legit. You could tell last week if they weren’t on it that Texas offense is so-so. If the Cats want a chance they need to patient and efficient on offense.

Just now, TheDeuce said:

I think Texas/Arch are pretty unimpressive. It would not shock me to see UK keep this close and have a chance to win.

The UK fan in me wants to believe that.  I also wonder if Arch playing solid against Oklahoma will carry over for the rest of the season.  Also from Google:

In the October 11, 2025, game against Oklahoma, Arch Manning led the Texas Longhorns to a 23-6 victory in the Red River Rivalry. Manning had a strong, turnover-free performance, completing 21 of 27 passes for 166 yards and one touchdown. He also contributed with 34 rushing yards, including a significant 29-yard run late in the game that helped seal the win, followed by a "wave goodbye" to the Oklahoma crowd.

Well a promising drive ends quickly I thought it was a terrible spot to start I would have challenged the spot. Then to try and call a QB sneak from two yards out and then 4th down fails.
