Struck me as a good blend of old school and new school.

Yes, if memory serves me, in the Lampley era, the middle stripe was gray, and then at least one set around that time was a black stripe. A nice blend. Anyway, nice to talk about the unis since the game was so bad.

Hope the PRP QB is ok. Kid was a gamer in the first quarter until he got hurt.

Word was broken collarbone. Was featured in A LOT of spots for the Panthers until the injury.

As expected tonight for the Rocks.

The real test start next week.

To add my take, I like the new uniforms. The stripes on the sides look nice.

I loved the new uniforms. Big fan of "Trinity" on top of the jersey. And I noticed a small Shamrock on the top back. Love the white stripes as well.

Who made the schedule for PRP?  Brutal.  Last minute decision on a coach  and in a top 6A district.... Will be a difficult year.

Apparently the HC who is no longer there.

"Thought " he could attract kids by playing top notch schedule ???????

Present HC is a classy guy. He will do his best to turn it around  - and has already started.

Sorry to hear of the injury.

I was wondering how a game with a lopsided score has so many comments?

Of course the answer is UNIFORMS!!!

Coach Williams gets the last laugh. Coach Walker is as good as they come though! He will make the best out of a messy situation.

Coach Williams is a great guy and great coach. Didn't understand that move at all...Glad to hear they have Coach Walker.

Open enrollment at Male has really hurt programs like PRP. PRP was always good...

When did Male go to open enrollment?  They’ve always been a traditional feeder first, mostly Barrett & JCTMS, and then a lottery after that for any non-traditional MS kids with limited open spots for that.

When I lived in Fern Creek, there were a significant amount of Male baseball players in my neighborhood. I asked one of the parents about it and I was told that anyone can attend Male.

They didn’t exactly inform you incorrectly.  Anyone in Jefferson County can go to Male, but it isn’t open enrollment & they aren’t a resides school where they have to take you if you live in their area.  You have to be in the traditional school program to be guaranteed a spot (I.e. attend JCTMS, Barrett or Johnson MS although most Johnson kids go to Butler).  After that, it’s a lottery for the non-traditional MS kids, but there are very limited spots that they accept.

Johnson student athletes are choosing Male over Butler these days. Back to Trinity vs PRP. I understand PRP lost 17 football players to Valley and Butler recently. PRP did reach out to Trinity for sdding this game to schedule this year and next.

I am still hoping to see stats posted at Riherd’s site and/or on Trinity’s Twitter account. I was pleased for Trinity to see the turnout last night.  The “white out” was a success.

If it’s a lottery as you state it is WEIGHTED!

The stats are posted to Riherds Scoreboard!  Zane Johnson was 4 of 5 passing with 4 tds and 114 yards. Trinity rushed twice for twelve yards and one td. PRP had -29 yards rushing and positive 38 yards passing. Running clock with two minutes shaved off third and fourth quarters. That makes it difficult to get the back ups playing time but it is a plus for the RPI! ?
