2025 Corbin Redhounds

Corbin Redhounds ??

2024 Outcome: 12-2, State Semifinalist (lost 31-14 to Paducah Tilghman)

2025 Outlook: The Hounds have been on quite a run over the last 10-12 years. They've done it all - 11 wins a year since Justin Haddix revitalized the program in 2014, marquee wins (Alcoa (TN) in 2017, Boyle County in 2018 and Douglass in 2023), deep playoff runs nearly every year, and multiple state runner-up finishes. The only thing missing is that elusive state championship. The drought currently stands at 43 years.

Kade Elam is swinging a baseball bat for the next couple of months, then he's off to UofL and taking his G.O.A.T. status with him. Two thirds of his highly productive receiver trio is also graduating, as is 278 tackles from the linebacker position.

? Kade Elam (QB) | Noah Cima (WR) | Colton Creekmore (WR) | Jace Hatfield (OL/DL) | Keegan Reeder (OL) | Jonah Mahan (LB) | Griffin Bates (LB) | Zach Reynolds (LB) | NaShawn Brooks (DB)

The loss of all that production begs the question, what will the Hounds have to offer this year? The answer, at least on paper, appears to be, a great deal. The cupboard is still overflowing with talent.

? Cam Estep (WR/DB) | Cole Stevens (RB) | Eli Pietrowski (TE/LB) | Malachi Brown (DL) | Mason Salmons (DB) | Seth Jones (OL) | Braxton Tolliver (OL) | Jacob White (OL) | Jonathan Miller (OL)

Cam Estep led the team in receiving with over 1,000 yards and has offers from Marshall and EKU. Malachi Brown might have the highest college ceiling of anyone in a Corbin uniform, with offers from NC State, Marshall, and EKU. The list goes on with Eli Pietrowski, who holds offers from UK and… you'll never guess…. Marshall and EKU. The Thundering Herd and Colonels are popping up all over Corbin these days. Add a near thousand yard rusher and most of the o-line, and the pieces are there for another fearsome, formidable pack of Hounds.

It's always hunting season in Corbin.

Here's what I know of for the Redhounds 2025 schedule. They have their bye week and their three district games against Whitley County, Perry County Central, and Harlan County to schedule into the latter portion, and I'm guessing they have been having a tough time coming up with someone to play in their Week 1 bowl game.

Aug 22 - TBA (Cumberland Pigskin Classic)
Aug 29 at North Laurel (Praxel Line Services Bowl)
Sep 5 at Bryan Station
Sep 12 vs. Pulaski County
Sep 19 vs. Frederick Douglass
Sep 26 - TBA
Oct 3 vs. Johnson Central
Oct 10 - TBA
Oct 17 - TBA
Oct 24 - TBA
Oct 31 at Great Crossing

I’ve been told they’re running the wing T this year. Any Corbin fans care to comment?

Some of these should be fun- can't wait to hear all the status quo "anti Wing T", which are truly unknowingly self admittance "don't know what they don't know" comments, but I'm holding out hope.

Sounds like they're still looking for their opponent in the Cumberland Falls Pigskin Classic, and still no official announcement about the district game against Harlan County.

Kentucky offered!

It appears the Hounds have landed a new assistant coach, Andrew Soucy. He specializes in defensive line. Soucy previously coached that position at Morehead State after stints at UPike and the high school level at Paul Laurence Dunbar and Madison Central. Judging from his social media, he may have spent last season with George Rogers Clark.

Congrats to 2027 Redhound DE/TE Malachi Brown for picking up an offer from the University of Kentucky!

I believe Corbin is going to be hosting Harlan County in their Pigskin Classic...which is kind of odd given the fact that it's a district game, but I guess whatever works. That still leaves the Redhounds looking for one more game.

Very familiar with the Linton Miners.  Corbin should have no problem in that game.

I lived in Linton for several years quite a while back. They have a very good, small town team with a rich history. However, I agree that year in and year out Corbin can just our man them all across the field.

I wouldn't be shocked if they brought a couple hundred fans with them, that town is all in on the Miners.
