Scott Co. 72 HHS 68

Featured Replies

Im just wondering, for all those people who were predicting a 30 point lose for Scott Co., Did you really believe that? Or was the prediction out of dislike of Scott Co.?

I would say that for some, it was more a case of idol worship for the HHS roster.

I'd say it was more of not thinking that HHS would start out 0-19 threes, commit 25 turnovers, Taylor (great player) shoot 0-10, etc...and underestimating Scott Co. a little as well...

I actually rooted for Scott Co. in the game. They will be up against it still when they travel to Huntington...

Thanks Yoda, you are an asset to BGP.

Aw shucks.... :D

I think there were a lot of people there who were not normally Scott Co. fans who rooted them on because they represented the whole state tonight. :thumb:

No doubt.

No OJ when they meet in Huntington though. He will be serving his 14 day suspension. I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOO glad he played last night. I can hear the posts now if he hadn't played. By the way - he was a perfect gentleman............ Now 21 (the kid going to Oklahoma) showed a pretty bad attitude. I might too if I was good enough to go to Oklahoma but lost my starting spot when OJ came to town...

I think Huntington took SC too lightly after the way they beat LexCath earlier. Looking forward to the rematch.

don't be surprised if SC doesn't get them again. SC looked the better TEAM lasat night.

UK needs to get back to recruiting there own!:thumb:

Couldnt have said it better

What does this have to do with anything??? You want Tubby to get the whole Scott Co. team??

Great job Scott Co.!!!!

You have made Kentucky and the 11th Region proud.

With regard to Mayo, he is a naturally gifted athlete...a very good individual basketball player. I think he would have been much better served if he would have stuck with one high school instead of three. If he had been in a program like Scott County playing for a coach like Billy Hicks, he would probably understand more about being a team player. His handlers have obviously created a situation where it is all about O.J. That is all he knows.

I think I was one of the few that got this one right in the prediction thread.....way to represent KY ....

I would obviously like to congratulate Scott County, but I think there were several calls that just went in Scott County's favor.

A lot of balls that were rebounded by Huntington, and then knocked out of their hands and out-of-bounds by Scott County were called "Scott County balls." In any other game with different teams, it would have been Huntington's ball. I just think that some of the questionable calls on both sides went in favor of Scott County, whether that would have changed the outcome of the game or not, I don't know. But, I do congratulate Scott County, they really outplayed Huntington and Hicks really outcoached their coach.

I agree, BRJB, that HHS struggled offensively. Truth be told, Scott County's defense had quite a bit to do with that - no doubt.

I also agree with you on the rematch. HHS will (most assuredly) not be taking Scott County lightly in the next one.

There is alot of truth in this post!!

Oh great. Now you've done it. Now we get to listen (once again) to how many D-1 superstuds HHS has, and how pitiful a "normal" high school team wouldn't stand a chance against them.

Good one!

I stand by my statement that Paintsville with Vanhoose and company beat this team 6 outta 10 times
