I do not believe they will be significant with respect to the rest of the state, but they'll still be contenders in the region. WC loses 7 seniors, but most teams in the region are losing HUGE amounts of seniors.

9th region:

Not just CCH and Holmes

St. Henry is playing very well and Boone County has shown signs of greatness when they play together like a team. This will be a close race

8th it looks to be a two horse race with Shelby Co. and Simon Kenton. This game will be played at Henry Co.

 

I know Gallatin will have their hands full with Owen getting out of the district, but why would Shelby be a contender and not Gallatin? I don't think their OT meeting was an aberration.

Well, Madison Central has a cake walk in their district, where Scott Co would have to compete with Bryan Station, another top 5 team, and Henry Clay. Also, the 11th region will be played in Richmond, another plus for Madison Central. I think MC has better odds than Scott Co.

Madison Central had the sun shine on them multiple times during last year's regional tournament.

They are good, but I don't think the odds are in their favor...

Boone and St. Henry are not contenders for the 9th region. It will be either Holmes or CovCath.

The 9th sould be between cch and Boone co. IMO and the 10 will probably come down to Mason Co. But GRC may have something to say about that i think Brossart is a good team but just a little out maned to truely compete with Mason And GRC IMO

I no longer think Shelby is a contender with the loss of Wade. But I also am not ready to crown the Pioneers yet. Simon Kenton is the clear cut favorite, but I wouldn't be shocked to see someone step up and knock them out.

What happened to Eugene Wade?

All I know is that he is supposedly no longer with the team.

South Laurel is the fave in the 13th, but Corbin can maybe give them trouble.

Mason Co and GRC are the top 2 favorites and Bishop Brossart right behind them, being the top 3 choices IMO.

The outcome of the game Feb 10th may not tell us much. Last year GRC went into Mason Co in Feb and beat them by 16 at the Fieldhouse, then lost to them in the finals of the region. PC beat GRC by a last second basket in regular season and GRC beat them in the semi of region.

Do I put alot into who wins on Feb 10th...no ...It is the one in March that we want.:thumb:

 

I don't put much into February games either. Last year when GRC beat Mason, they were playing without Brad Pawsat who was in Louisville at another school function. The 2 schools actually split in regular season last year as the royals beat Clark in the South Laurel tourny. We're playing for March as well. GO ROYALS!!!!

At the present time Hazard is a slight favorite in the 14th.

^JBS is not too far behind in region 14 but I agree, Hazard is the favorite at the present time. Should be a good regional tournament for the 14th. Hazard & Perry Central will both likely be in it together for the first time in I don't know how long.
