This Kid will be a one man wrecking crew over the next 2 years.  He will be unblockable coming off the edge….you have to see His Speed and Quickness in person to believe it for someone His size.  Colonels will be violently dominant upfront on both sides of the ball this year.  Unreal.

Lind was good last year and should be outstanding the next two years.

I thought he was going to be best as a center in college in a zone scheme, but he tagged the DC at EKU in his X post so maybe interior DL is an option too. 

Jordan Nevels trains a lot of the local kids and he had a post this offseason about Lind being 270 and explosive...that might scream 3 tech or 4i in college if he keeps developing and putting on good weight. Exciting player!

Erps. He was a really solid receiver. We had a REALLY solid receiving corps in 1995, honestly, with Brian Erpenbeck, Sean Aytes, Dave Suetholz and Kris Abeln all as seniors, plus about a half dozen juniors to back them up along with another half dozen sophomores (who would win the 1997 AAA title as seniors).

Speaking of Abeln, he was a DB/WR and out of 90 guys on the roster he was one of 9 guys on the entire team to play more than one position...2 of those 9 just doubled as punters. Definitely a different world from the multi-discipline/multi-position method the players on the team have these days.

Abeln ended up with a small handful of scholarship offers, including a couple of Ivy's. I wanna say it was Cornell that he was leaning hard towards, but then he ended up taking an academic scholarship to UofL instead. He's an orthopedic surgeon nowadays down in greater Louisville specializing in sports medicine.

Since Eviston arrived, I think Cash has the most juice of anyone we’ve had. He looks like he’s 175+ lbs, so he’s not small either. 

I should have screen recorded it, but Nevels posted a video of Cash going right after Ace Alston in a drill around a week ago. Cash was quicker and smoother than Alston breaking out of a backpedal who is a top 100 overall recruit at DB. Now maybe they weren’t going 100%, but still interesting to see back to back against a P2 corner recruit. 

Will be interesting to see if they play Cash both ways this year.

I would ask him what he wants to do. If Cash can hand pick his replacement with somebody he feels that can fill his shoes on defense then I would let that player play on defense, if not...then he is going both ways.

Isn’t that the coaches decision? What coach would allow a player to do that? ?

They did last year so I expect that to be the case. The schedule is much tougher, so he will probably get spelled more on defense, but there are a few DBs in the junior class that I think are good enough to step in for those snaps and be ok back there at safety.

Definitely the coaches decision but not many Cash-like caliber players out there so his opinion could be valued. If the coaches and Cash feel comfortable with who is stepping in for him then everyone else should also feel comfortable is really what I was saying. I don't see Cash sitting on the sidelines if he thinks there is a liability on the field instead of him. But yeah the coaches are always going to make that decision and the decision they feel is best for the team. As a player who never came off the field until it was jv's time as a freshman, soph, or junior by my senior year the coaches were looking for ways to get me an extra break if they could, and during the summer as a two-year captain they definitely asked for my opinion on who I thought could fill in with productive minutes that may not already be getting a ton of playing time. After all said and done I still never ended up coming off the field. I definitely wasn't a Cash-like caliber player, not trying to say that either lol.

Who do you see who could step into His role at Safety?  Not sure on the depth chart there so would love to know.
