I also think less college teams are running 10 personnel (4 WRs/1 RB) air raid style systems than they were around a decade ago and where Cash's quickness would shine like Edelman/Welker/you know the stereotype. I could see some lower FCS teams looking at him however. As you guys know with college recruiting, almost all of the eval is on physical athletic traits compared to high school production or even position technique. Right or wrong, the college coaches just want a big athletic guy in there and they can coach them up.

He’s not going FBS. FBS are onto 27s, depending on his grades, he could pull a non scholarship FCS. But he’s prolly gonna end up at a D2/NAIA.

He has a lot of juice in his arm and is pretty athletic. He was definitely the most talented freshman QB we've had since at least 2020, probably back to AJ Mayer. I think once he works with Evision for a full year and offseason about playing on time in an offense and knowing where to go with the ball with real coaching, he's going to be really, really good.

I'd be a little surprised to see him better than Queen at Beechwood now next season though. I think Emmett is just going to be an absolute machine throwing the ball in 25 and 26.

I disagree slightly.  Certainly some FBS' are onto 27's, but they are still trying to solidify their 26 class whatever number that may be.  Whether an FBS offer (group of 5) will ever come is a different question.  Personally, I would be shocked if a scholarship FCS school doesn't come in and offer him during the season.  Given the number of positions he can play and his speed numbers, he absolutely can play in the United, MVC, Patriot or SoCon and those teams will be filling their 26 classes into December.  Roster management at the FCS level now is an absolute crap show... these FCS coaches are doing the best they can to fill rosters year to year.  On July 1, about 15 kids per FBS team are now searching for homes and they have a grandfather tag they can use at the new school.  So, its even harder now for the 26's, 27's and beyond.

If he gets an offer to any D1 school. It’ll be a D1 non scholarship school like Morehead. They offer almost everybody in the state of Kentucky that is somewhat a decent player. 

I only watched Harney play once last year and it was against Boyle County. Harney was the 2nd best player on the field other than Quisenberry. I think he can play receiver at EKU. And Boyle was supposed to have 7 or 8 kids with D1 "offers"

Kid was very good against Boyle but if no FCS or FBS offers at this point it will be really hard to get FBS during senior year.  He could definitely earn an FCS scholarship from senior year play on the field.  What is his height, weight and 40 time?  It seems one of those is maybe holding him back because his play on the field seems good enough to play FCS.

If you do not have an FBS offer by now, the chance of getting one are slim to none. There is a chance for FCS, but it will most likely be an FCS non scholarship.

What level do you think he equates to, because it is certainly higher than FCS non-scholarship.  I believe he's between an FCS and Group of 5 Safety or Receiver.  The only questionable measurable for him is height.  Biggest drawback is he has no film at receiver and I don't know what position he camped at.  The recruiting process isn't the same as it was two years ago.  Heck, it's not even the same as it was before July 1, 2025.  I have no inside information, but my guess is there are several FCS schools that are closely following him on their boards.  The two instate FCS scholarship schools would be crazy not to offer him.  Same with any of the SoCon schools.

I think he is at best a D2/NAIA player. Now it wouldn’t surprised me if Morehead offers him. But I don’t see a D1 FCS or Group of 5 offering him. He got great balance and is hard to take down in the open field. But he doesn’t have unbelievable speed and he doesn’t have the arm strength for QB.

Correct. I have been down there to see him work out as my son works out there and I saw him play summer hoops and Harney is by far noticeably faster, quicker, and more twitchy all while gaining more noticeable muscle mass…..If you thought Harney was a problem last year…..wow.
