From what I've heard their first game will be against Owensboro and the last week will be their bye week.

How or who is doing Owensboro’s schedule?  They can’t find a coach!  Was this set by the previous coach?  

3A Central, 4A Boyle County, 5A Bowling Green and Owensboro will make for a nice farewell tour for Coach Wallace. I look forward to the announcement of next Executive Director of Athletics, who in turn will name Coach Wallace’s replacement. Do the Tiger faithful still believe Coach Powell is the heir apparent?

I don’t think Coach Powell will be the next HC. It’s a good name, but very little experience as a high school and St. X has already been down that road before. But this will be a very interesting process because of timing of the Coach Wallace announcement and that St. X does not have an AD.

St. X has received over 100 applications for AD position so will be interesting who gets the job. Plenty of time to get coach with Coach Wallace still there another year.

I hope they wait to announce the new coach until after the 2025 season in fairness to the 2025 players and coaches.  This coming season should be about the 2025 team.  From what I understand, it created a weird vibe and dynamic the last time they named a coach while an existing coach was still on the job.

To say this entire thing has been mishandled with the Wallace announcement and his final year at St. X is an understatement.

I am not saying it has been handled 100% correctly, but the handling of the Glaser to Wolford transition was about as bad as it could get.  It is one thing to announce that a coach is in his last year.  It is entirely another thing to put the successor in place during the season.  The players and coaches on the 2025 team, especially the Seniors, deserve the focus to be on their season.

There are way too many people on Poplar Level that stick their noses where it shouldn’t be.

This has been a cluster and my guess will continue to be one.

St. X incoming freshman class for the school that has registered is 350 which is the largest number school has had in years maybe history. I'll be interested in seeing how that translates to the Frosh football squad numbers.

St. X should have a good freshman class for football both in numbers and quality.  I believe quite a few players from the Lyndon Lightning will be Tigers next fall and they had a quality MS team; many kids played FBU for team KY.
