Fields Davis (LB) from Ashland is going to Wittenberg.

No, the want to get a good education and WIN. Go Hanover!!!:D

I don't believe Hanover has been winning the past couple of years have they????

Well first of all Hanover is in Indiana.

Second of all, the three of the past four times Centre has scrimaged Hanover, we've beaten them and looking into the future, I see no reason for that trend to change.

And as far as which school provides a better education, everyone is entitled to their opinions, some people are more right than others (I'm pretty partial myself) :p

You know what Centre students and Hanover students have in common don't you? They both got accepted to Hanover.

If I remember correctly they have one the Heartland Conference at least once since Brett Dietz left, but I could be wrong.

W-Berg in the last two years has really been hitting Kentucky.

JACOB KERN OL/DL/LB from South Oldham 6'1 255 lbs. is going there as well.

I like your avatar, but permit one correction:

Re: Kentucky's only NCAA National Champions in Football!

The Hilltoppers of Western Kentucky University won the 2002 National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I-AA Football Championship 34 to 14! Perhaps Centre and WKU are Kentucky's only 2 NCAA National Champions in Football!

 I would hope they would win a few games in that sorry conference that they play in. WEAK, very weak.

Now that you mention it, you are correct, sorry I forgot about the Hilltoppers.

The only DIII Schools in Kentucky with a football program are Centre and Thomas More. Both have pretty darn good football programs though!!

I've watched some of the Thomas More football games on one of the local stations on here and I wouldn't exactly call them a darn good program.

As far as being able to play at the next level, whether it be D1, D2, D3 or NAIA, I'll be the first to say congrats to the individuals who do get to further their education AND play the sport that they love in the mean time.

I thought they were supposed to be pretty good, maybe that was a few years ago.

Coach Perry is the winningest college football coach in the state of Indiana, EVER. That includes Notre Dame, Purdue, etc. NO coach has ever won more in that state. They have been down the past few years, but in 2006 they were 4-6 which, to my knowledge is the worst year he has had at Hanover. Even the best coaches have bad seasons. Here is a link.

Since becoming head coach, he has not only maintained Hanover’s tradition as a quality program, he has raised the standard. Under his guidance, the Panthers have won eight conference titles (1989, 1994, 1995, 1997, 1999, 2000, 2002 and 2003), made nine trips to the national playoffs (1984, 1986, 1989, 1995, 1997, 1999, 2000, 2002 and 2003) and posted each of the school’s 10-win seasons (10-0 in 1995, 1997, 1999 and 2002).

Perry’s early success signaled what was to come in the next few years. After his first season as Hanover’s head coach, he earned the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) District 21 coach of the year honor after leading Hanover to a 7-2 record. In the next 10 years, he was named the District 21 coach of the year seven times.

In addition to the NAIA honors, Perry was named the conference coach-of-the-year in 1989, 1994, 1995, 1997, 1999 and 2003. In those seasons, the Panthers captured league championships and earned playoff berths five times.

Under Perry, Hanover has had 26 players named to 44 all-American teams, including a precedent-setting three first-team offensive selections in 1991. Hanover has dominated its conference’s player of the year award with 11 league most valuable players from 1989 to 2003.

Anyone heading to Denison?
Great school , but $40,000 per year. Better hope you can qualify for aid or have stellar academic numbers.
