Likely not to pleased, but the reason I asked head coach or not. Jordan Leach played QB at Daviess county , was the a grad assistant strength coach at Alabama at one point, OC at Daviess county and is currently on Bowling greens staff for the last two titles. So he has ties to the town.

What insight do you have? It sounds like to me the candidates that have applied have combined 8 state titles.

I am by no means trying to sound condescending, It’s been that way more than not for a long time.

Often we see the college coaching carousel landscape where life changing money and millions of dollars are involved & think that transpires down to this level.

Heck, it even pays (literally and figuratively) in other states like GA, TX, AL…but, for Kentucky HS Football and most other states? It just doesn’t make a lot of sense to pack your family up, and move ….especially, ESPECIALLY if you’re already at a program, like Owensboro (or better), that is already competing for region title births and beyond year in - year out.

I made a post about this on the 1st or 2nd page of the thread in regards to coaches playing hop scotch (or the lack thereof) from state title winning programs (present school) to another. 

If you do see it? 1) They usually don’t have to physically move houses/family and 2) their kids usually have either not started school yet OR they have become empty nesters, and the kids are graduated and gone.

On their show tonight they mentioned they had heard of another job in the area coming open, I assume DCHS. If not then Apollo, Catholic? If that’s the case it makes this opening that much more interesting. Jason morris or edge would have to be a favorite to hire.

I am not sure what Morris’s retirement is at OCHS, but I would think Edge would give anything to get Oboro job. Private pay is generally not great so I could Morris wanting that as well.

The thing with edge is his son will be a senior in the 25-26 season. Reading between the lines of previous conversations and layout of the teams. I’d say DCHS if any of the Owensboro teams.

Your right I did say Wallace or Rector but the more I hear the more I think it will be Ganaway! I’m not even sure he applies for the DC job and I can still assure you that the OHS job will not be an in house hire! And il say this much of what your saying is true and Ganaway goes to DC and OHS hires within a big part of the OHS roster will transfer to DC
