What about any coaches from across the river?  Maybe Castle, Reitz, North, or even Heritage Hills Coach!!

Don’t see HH or castles coaches going anywhere. Asfor the other two if you want to take a better job wouldn’t you think they’d apply for the open Mater Dei job?

I think that both of them could possibly come.  The SIAC 3A is loaded.  You have HH, Memorial, Mater Dei, Gibson Southern, I think.  Reitz, Castle, and North are all about the same size.  

I would 110% be guessing but I think the hire is NOT on that list.  I believe Owensboro has done a really good job of keeping things tight lipped so we do not know many of the names that have applied.  Maybe the answer comes from somewhere in Southern Indiana?  I wouldn't rule that out as there are several good coaches on that side of the river.  Again, that is pure speculation.  

Edge - I don't believe he is going to uproot his kids again unless OHS comes hard after him.  Anyone would have to listen to an offer but I just don't see it.

Brannon - have heard zero on this but it would be a very interesting fit.  Coach Brannon took that Daviess County program to its peak.

Hall - I have been told he does not want the Head job.  Whoever gets to inherit him as a DC will be lucky to have him on the staff.

Locher - this would be very interesting.  I could connect the dots here but it really just depends on what he wants for his future?  Does he want to move back to Owensboro and start a family here or is he wanting to stay in the college game?  Of all the names listed, I think Nick's is most logical.

Rector - this is the name I have heard the most.  I think that is mostly because he is the only outside candidate that we know for sure that has applied.  I have no idea if he is a serious contender for the job?  I would assume that he is in the mix based on his state championship history in TN.

Indiana conference isn’t separated by class. 
only sectional, regional, semi state and state.

OK, but in the playoffs its a blind draw.  You had memorial play HH like in the 1st round and I think Mater Dei played GS.

lol!! That’d be a good hire, but… no affiliation.

Southridge and Gibson Southern Coaches are both AD's there as well.  I would be hard pressed to see either of them as real candidates.  Now Heritage Hills on the other hand... maybe.  Wilkerson has been there for a while so unless he is just hunting a new challenge, I would say that he is probably a reach.

Gibson Southern, Heritage Hills and Southridge are all in the PAC conference.  While most of the other schools listed are in the SIAC.  Conference in the season and class in the playoffs.  I kind of like that setup but the playoff blind draw kind of ruins it.

I’d be interested to know the details of what you have. Wonder if there is anyone inside the program but not on the staff that could be possible. Two come to mind.

I agree.  I can think of a couple also!!  One used to be a teacher, but not now.
