Never thought I’d see the Birds celebrate a region championship like it was a state title. Times have changed. Hopefully, this trophy leads to the one that really matters. 

 

Congratulations to Highlands on winning and advancing for the rematch with Cooper and congratulations to Pulaski County on a nice season. I wouldn’t be surprised at all to see the Maroons back, if not further advanced next season. I believe that Pulaski County is only going to get better over time.

That was definitely there biggest asset on offense, the running game.  Future is bright if they build on it.

It was a big win, why not celebrate? When I was senior in the 90s we celebrated when we won in the third round. Not sure what era of birds history you are talking? What made it “like a state championship”? Was there a confetti drop?
