Agree.

If CCH was in 5A they would already be out of the playoffs.

I am for doing away with districts and letting teams decide their own schedule.

I like that idea, but do you want to leave district seeding up to the RPI? The current RPI formula is bad.

I am on the record ad nauseum for doing away with RPI.

Boyle Co. 35-7.

So how would you seed the districts?

That is true for this year. But last year we might have won state if in 5A.

Doubtful, but maybe.

Still to this day I don’t know how Boyle Co. is a dominating force every year. I look up Danville on Google Maps and see it’s in the middle of nowhere. Where the heck do all these football players come from? You think CCH would have a ton more talent every year over Boyle practically being a suburb of Cincinnati and having a bigger pool to pull players from.  Maybe one day I will drive down to Danville to see what all the fuss is about.

Come on man. Danville and Boyle County have long histories of football success. Google Titletown. Great football players come from all over this state. From Paducah to Pikeville. It's not the unexplainable mystery you seem to think it is. The schools have roughly the same number of boys, so not sure why being a suburb of Cincinnati has anything to do with it or why a team in the Bluegrass Region can't have great teams.

Its been that way in that middle of nowhere area for decades and decades.

'84, '87, '89, '91, '92, '94, 99, 2000 (2), '01 (2), '02, '03 (2), '09, 10,'17 (2), '20, '21, '22, '23 - Over the past 40 seasons, one (or both - 4 times) of the two schools in the county won a state championship 22 times in 4 different classes. Many of those years they played in the same class and both teams couldn't win or go to state in the same year.

Winning streaks:

47 - Boyle (with 3 other 25+ game streaks)

42- Danville

Danville had a dominating run from the middle 80's to mid 2000's.  Boyle began its run in the late 90's.

And when you consider football talent in the area,  tiny (now defunct) Harrodsburg High, 10 miles away, produced more NFL talent than Danville and Boyle combined during that time period. Pioneers such as Jason Dunn, Craig Yeast & Dennis Johnson all played in the league along with a slew of others that went on to play D1.
