I think the Cov Cath team from last year was better than this years team. I think Boyle’s team this year is better than last year team. Last year Boyle won 41-0. I expect the same if not worse. Prove me wrong Colonels. At least make it respectable and don’t get embarrassed.

I'm sure I'm in the minority,  but I believe last years Boyle team was just a bit stronger than this years squad. However that amount is negligible at best.

Still believe the Rebels handle business come Friday with a comfortable win, 42ish-14ish.

Boyle Co 42

CovCath 17

Looks like the computers are aligned in predicting a 42-14 Rebel win, so CovCath the heavy underdog in this one.

The CovCath offensive and defensive lines will need to play their best game of the season for the Colonels to have any chance in this one.

I think another thing that hurts the Colonels come playoffs is playing the weakest district in all mankind. Besides finally playing Johnson Central, CCH last meaningful game was week 5 against Beechwood. They had 4 useless district games, Campbell Co and Boyd Co. in the first playoff game. In pretty much all of them games the starters are done playing by halftime so I don’t see how that gets a team ready for the playoffs. I was at that Johnson Central, CCH struggled big time in that whole game especially the first half because again they haven’t played anybody in forever. I say go back to 5A just to be in a better district and make the 2nd half of the year meaningful.

If CCH was in 5A they would already be out of the playoffs.

I am for doing away with districts and letting teams decide their own schedule.

Old man’s memory, but isn’t Highlands being realigned back to 4A with CovCath in 2025?

Not to get off topic, but here's a thought. Maybe CovCath struggled "big time" because Johnson Central is a good team. The Golden Eagles played Corbin and Ashland down to the wire as well.

I agree on JC, good team, just like CCH, Ashland, and Corbin. You know, the next level down teams this year in 4A.

This year, any division Boyle is in puts everybody else down a level.

I will add Tilghman, Trinity, and Cooper but after that pretty much.

Jury is still out for me on Tilghman. How do you benchmark them with the schedule they've played?  We will see how the next couple weeks go for Trinity and Cooper.

The jury is out for me too on PT but not compared to CCH, Ashland, JC, Corbin, and FC.

And you can't benchmark mostly trash.

I would take Franklin County over Tilghman. The good news is they should be playing next week.
