But I’m not seeing Baltimore as one of the best teams right now.  Not with that abominable pass defense.  That unit is horrible.  The offense is impressive, but that defense, not so much.

The Ravens were far from their best tonight but no one in the NFL wants the Ravens on the road in primetime.

And give the Bengals offense some credit for carving up the Baltimore D.

  • We go "big play pass" twice instead of picking up the 2 yard first-down earlier. I guess if we pickup substantial yardage or score on either pass, we wouldn't be having this conversation. Bu

I don't get too caught up in calls or non calls by refs, but that is just one example of 3 or 4 non calls of hits on Burrow last night. The worst one IMO was after a Burrow pass Humphreys taking 2 ste

  • The 2-point try was the right call but the game should’ve never gotten to that point. Zac Taylor strikes again. How much longer do we have to suffer with him wasting Joe Burrow?

Two things:

1).  Lamar Jackson, MVP must have a giant “S” on his chest. Our defense once again could not get close enough to touch him and that was not because of his protection.
2).  Our pass defense must not have made the flight to Baltimore.  Most of the night our secondary wasn’t even in the picture as Ravens receivers’ first moves left us stumbling to catch-up.

They have a Super Bowl offense and a Wild Card exit defense that Lamar will be blamed for, again.

I love how the talking heads harp on missed calls when some teams lose but not when others do.

The Bengals gave up a 21-7 3rd quarter lead to the MVP at home. that's why they lost.

Agree.

After watching the game I wondered how the Ravens have lost three games.

Then I came to my senses and wondered how the Bengals have lost six.

Lamar won the MVP last season.  His stats this year are WAY ahead of those.   24 TDs and 2 picks is ridiculous.

Nobody wants to talk about Chase’s antics?

That is what I fear with this squad. Every time I watch them I want to say they are the best team in football, but you can't ignore how porous they look on the back end of their defense. Chase is a stud, but him running unimpeded at times with continual blown coverages is a joke.

Baltimore’s defense isn’t as good, especially in the secondary.

And the problem is it doesn’t take a Jamarr Chase to make their secondary look silly.

Correct. He is just immensely talented, so it looks even worse.

We will look back at the 2023 MVP race and wonder what we were doing. Lamar won the award because he had solid stats for the team with the best record. He'd been better in other non-MVP seasons. I am not hating on him; it is the media's fault for transforming the award into a quarterback-only award. For instance, Mahomes is the third favorite in the MVP race today. That's a joke.

The game flipped on the Chase Brown fumble. It felt as if Cincinnati was going for the kill shot, and one minute later Baltimore had back the ball with an uber-short field and it was a seven-point game.

Also, how in the world did Tylan Wallace score on that long TD? Jackson hits him for a modest gain, and the Bengals what? Just assumed he would go out of bounds. That was pitiful tackling.

I hate to have to admit it but maybe what Coach Bill Parcells says is true "no matter what you might think you are what your record says you are" We are 4-6 and our 4 wins have been against 4 of the worst teams currently in the league. Ironically, all 4 are 2-7 and a combined 8-28 plus we have lost to a team that is 2-7. The good news even at 4-6 we are currently in 9th place in the conference. I think it will come down for the 7th playoff spot between the Bengals, Broncos, Jets. I think after the 4 division winners that the #5, and #6 playoff spots will go to Steelers/Ravens which ever one does not win the division and the #6 to the Chargers. We can have a lot to say about where we finish as well have games head to head with the Chargers on SNF on 11/17 and the Broncos on 12/29. The other 5 games we have are 2 vs. Steelers and then games against the Browns, Titians, and Cowboys.

Nor Lamar's antics.

Who cares?
