After Padres series, 2-1. Now need to win 11 of last 16 by my guestimate.

As a long time fan of the Redlegs, that means we should expect them to win 10 of the next 16, or 9 of the next 14 and then lose the last 2.

I think they need to get those wins on the front end since the last three games of the season are on the road against the Brewers and we all know how well the Reds do against them.

With both the Mets and Giants losing yesterday the Reds and Giants are tied at 2 games behind the Mets for the 3rd and final spot. I believe the Giants hold the tiebreaker on Cincy. The Mets play the Phillies again this even so going into the A's series this weekend they could only be 1.5 games out. The Giants are hosting the Dodgers and the Mets are hosting the Rangers. Hopefully the Reds sweep or win at least 2 out 3 vs. A's.

The first tie breaker is head-to-head, and the Giants and Reds are tied 3 - 3.

The second tie breaker is intra division record. We will not know where that stands till the end of the year. I believe as of today the Reds have the intradivision advantage over the Giants.

Right now the Giants hold the edge that is why in the wild card standings but that could change.

That is great! I don't know why then ESPN list the Giants ahead of the Reds when they list the Wild Card standings.

Mets led the Phillies 4-0 I believe after the first inning and lost 6-4 so the Giants and Reds are only 1.5 games back heading into these weekend series.

Reds had a shot with another Mets loss to get within .5 of the Wild Card but was shut out tonight by the A's 3-0. The Giants are now only .5 as they defeated the Dodgers 4-1. The Reds for sure need to win the next two vs. the A's.

Sad day for the Reds they had a great shot today as both the Giants and the Mets lose (again) and well fall 11-5 and lose 2nd straight to the A's.

This Reds team is so frustrating they get back to 1.5 games out then go out and get swept by the A's! They are now still just 2.5 from the last spot but know they have to pass 3 teams as the Giants are 1.5 back now the D-Backs are just 2 out. Next up a 3-game series at St. Louis.

The Reds defeat the Cards tonight 11-6 to get back to .500.

The Mets have jumped all over the Padres with 5 runs so far in the bottom of the first inning.

Mets won 8-3 and the Reds fall to the Cards tonight 3-0.

3 games out with 11 to play.  Tied record-wise with the Giants at 75-76.  D-Backs walk off against the Giants to climb within 1.5 of the Metropolitans.
