Jumper_Dad Posted May 17, 2024 Posted May 17, 2024 https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/golf/pga/2024/05/17/scottie-scheffler-handcuffed-by-police-before-start-of-pga-championship/73729206007/ Scheffler, 27, was booked shortly before 7:30 a.m., according to online records published by the Louisville Metropolitan Department of Corrections. He is being charged with second degree assault on a police officer, which is a felony, as well as criminal mischief, reckless driving and disregarding signals from an officer directing traffic. There was a fatality accident with a pedestrian near the entrance of Vahalla, backing up traffic. Evidently Scheffler drove around police and over a median trying to get in after being told to stop. Play is being delayed an hour and a half due to the accident. It is unknown at this time if Scheffler has withdrawn from the tournament or if he is trying to get released in time to play. His original tee time before the delay was for 8:48 a.m.

bugatti Posted May 17, 2024 Posted May 17, 2024 Not to make light of a tragic situation, but if Sheffler showed up to the 1st tee box in his orange jumpsuit that would have broken the universe. 3
Jumper_Dad Posted May 17, 2024 Author Posted May 17, 2024 Looks like Steve Romines has been hired as his attorney.
Jumper_Dad Posted May 17, 2024 Author Posted May 17, 2024 Teeing off on #10 to start his day with a par 5.
TheDeuce Posted May 17, 2024 Posted May 17, 2024 LMPD continues to be an embarrassment to the City of Louisville. An absolute joke of an organization. 1

Jumper_Dad Posted May 17, 2024 Author Posted May 17, 2024 Ridiculous stat just now from TV coverage. Scheffler is far and away the best golfer in the world today. He's been ranked #1 50+weeks in a row. If he remains #1 every week going forward, he'd catch Tiger's record for weeks at #1...sometime in 2035!!!
