Week 2 vs South Carolina

A lot of it will depend on the starting running back and the offensive line.  Tough schedule.

If QB is 1st year Levis 2.0, then I think 8-4 is possible maybe sneak a road win and go 9-3. If QB is Leary 2.0 then 6-6 maybe 5-7.

Prediction: Rinse and repeat. Seriously, I'm guessing UK's o/u win total line has been 6.5 or 7, 18 of the past 20 years.

 

I'll give Stoops some credit for this.   Only Ohio on the schedule from the MAC.   Guess he got tired of winning that conference,

I'd say 8-4 is best case scenario, but that would require two road wins against the Ole Miss, Florida, Tennessee, Texas group. Two seems reasonable but history hasn't shown UK capable of winning two roads games against quality conference opponents in a season too often.

I will say this, I like the schedule. Nice mix of conference opponents, home and away, winnable and underdog games evenly spaced. Should be fun.

Don't get too excited.  Kentucky was supposed to go TO Akron this coming season.   However, UK and Ohio State switched opponents so now Southern Miss goes to UK and Akron goes to Ohio State.  Really not sure why the switch of opponents.  So this led to one less road game for the Cats and one more home game.
