January 22, 200719 yr Let's not kid ourselves into thinking Harvard is an equal draw as UK. Far more demand for choice UK seats. So the cost of tuition includes tickets to sporting events only at schools where tickets are in demand. Gotcha...
January 22, 200719 yr So the cost of tuition includes tickets to sporting events only at schools where tickets are in demand. Gotcha... That's pretty much what Im getting out of this.. A lot of shools don't even give students a discount on tickets.
January 22, 200719 yr That's pretty much what Im getting out of this.. A lot of shools don't even give students a discount on tickets. Just about every school I know or heard have gives students discounts on tickets...
January 22, 200719 yr Another thing that makes Cameron so tough is the fact that it generally averages around 95 degrees in the building during a game. That's a good point, have you ever seen the cubbyhole where the broadcasters sit? Didn't they add AC this season.
January 22, 200719 yr Just about every school I know or heard have gives students discounts on tickets... Not all of them do. Point is, it is not something that they have to do, but they do it anyway. But that's just not good enough for some of you.
January 22, 200719 yr That's a good point, have you ever seen the cubbyhole where the broadcasters sit? Didn't they add AC this season. They added AC a few seasons ago I believe. In my opinion not having AC was the biggest home court advantage they ever had. Much more so than the students being loud and obnoxious.
January 22, 200719 yr Didn't they finally install AC a few years back? One vent running across the ceiling.
January 22, 200719 yr One vent running across the ceiling. Dickie V must have requested it for his lil cubicle up there in the rafters.
January 22, 200719 yr Not all of them do. Point is, it is not something that they have to do, but they do it anyway. But that's just not good enough for some of you. Wow you just dont get it do you! You keep going on about it like the only reason why I want students down below is because I want to have better seats. But I have said a few times now that is not the reason, I just think more students should be down low because it would make for a more exciting environment at Rupp and possibily make it even MORE of a homecourt advantage. If they have away to get the people down the the lower section to yell and be more excited and make it more exciting then I am all for that. I really dont care how they do it, but something needs to be done to make Rupp more of a exciting atmosphere and I just think having more students down low would help that. So I really do not know what you dont get about this and why you always seem to think its just because I want better seats because it is not... I guess its the square block round hole for you...
January 22, 200719 yr Definitley doesn't have the affect on teams like it used to...It's just not intimidating, IMO.

Email Mitch with your proposal and ask if he could completly rearange the Rupp seating because you think it would be more exciting if the 'old people' weren't down low. He almost always responds. In my opinion (I know you don't agree, no need to tell me again) the consequences outweigh whatever gain there "may" be. If he agrees with you maybe you'll get your wish. :thumb:

And you know what I bet you Mitch probably deep down would agree too, but he probably wouldn't admit it because that would mean that maybe he should make some changes and they wouldn't want to lose the money from the donors...As I have said also before I understand that they probably wont ever make any changes as long as they play at Rupp because of the donations they get from people, but I really dont know how you can sit here say Rupp is an exciting atmosphere...
January 22, 200719 yr Definitley doesn't have the affect on teams like it used to...It's just not intimidating, IMO. Louisville has won 3 games there in 24 years...
January 22, 200719 yr I really dont know how you can sit here say Rupp is an exciting atmosphere... I have a blast when Im there. If I didn't I wouldn't go.
January 22, 200719 yr Louisville has won 3 games there in 24 years... Not really sure how that is relevant...Let's stay on topic, and not take shots at each others teams just because we don't like what someone says...:thumb:
