I think it's good that the Purples get a fired up Graves Co. team that is clicking. Makes for a much more interesting Friday night than another "down by 40" playoff matchup. I hope Graves brings it. That said, give me the Purples with a running clock midway through the 3rd. BG, when on, is spooky good on O and is getting better weekly on D.

Feel like you are misunderstanding what I wrote or it was poor word choice by me. He got hit hard early but I don’t think he was concussed early. He played great the whole half but I don’t think he wanted to take another hard shot like he did. 
 

If memory serves me correct end of the second quarter he slid and took a shot to the head on a late hit. Graves lineman responded pushing the kid who hit the qb. Multiple flags thrown. After that play Graves brought in the backup punter (as the graves qb also serves as the punter.) Offense never took another snap that half and after halftime the freshman was in at Qb. Just wanted to clear that up.

I took it as they figured out he was concussed and then told him to keep sliding to avoid getting hit again. 

It's all good.

So this is a NFHS covered (streamed) game?  I know BG is not affiliated with them.  I guess Graves is?

But they are the away team.  Would they have to get BG's ok to do that?  Just curious.

Could BG be new to the NFHS?  The link does say "Pub. by Bowling Green" so something is up.

And I have no idea about any of this.  I was looking over the net for any broadcasts this week, found it, and posted it even though I figured it was probably being covered by the Sporting Times too.

Just watched the first Graves County offensive series vs Greenwood.  Graves QB Gregory faked the handoff to the RB and ran the ball in from about the 20 yard line for a TD.  But the announcer reported that he got confirmation that the refs "didn't see the play".  So they gave Graves the ball first and 10 at the 10 yard line.  I've never seen that ever.  I'm sure many were perplexed at that game.

Any word on QB Gregory's status? 

I don’t think NFHS is affiliated with individual school districts. I think they are affiliated with the state’s athletic associations. They are also involved with coach offseason training etc. They don’t simply focus on streaming games.

That was wild.  What was the explanation the coaches got?  Did they blow the whistle cause they thought the RB had the ball?

“I think in our building we were expecting to play Greenwood,” BG coach Mark Spader said. “That’s no slight at Graves. We knew they were a good team out there, but it’s a fresh prep. I think they have our kids’ attention. It’s been a great week of practice. They’ve been focused and that is what we expect this time of year. We are trying to earn the right to advance and possibly host a region championship next week.”

He's playing.
