That is funny I went to the KHSAA website today after it was announced that Corbin's appeal was granted and they got the win about 5:30 this afternoon and their two RPI's were:

Boyle Co. .73936

Corbin .73403

*Also, I wrote down Frederick Douglass RPI before the game it was .59029 and now it is currently .59326

Looks like Boyle moved up to #3 past Paducah Tilghman.  That should be Corbin at Boyle on 11/17 for a 3rd. round meeting with the winner at Franklin County on black Friday.

Considering the opponent, this is one of if not the most impressive stat line I have ever seen.

No way I would’ve predicted that Boyle’s offense would run over Douglass’ D like that. Hoban only managed 182 Rushing and 111 passing against them. I haven’t seen Boyle play in person this season but I read a lot this week on here about the their defensive secondary possibly being a weakness. I think we can forget about that too!

I agree and it’s needs some tweaking.  I think the concept is better than if it’s just your districts turn to host a home game like in the old  past.  I will say last year it was in our favor with Lexington Catholic and really I like playing Corbin at home in week 3 than at UK.   Let’s get the rematch a little earlier at Ballard Robinson Field!

I agree there is a program out there that does not penalize you for playing excellent competition out of state. Your guys one game out of state probably was the difference. I know the Douglass played kept us behind two team we beat on the road in the regular season.

That and the game against 0-10 Danville did not help. Boyle could load up on public 6A schools from Madison and Fayette to help inflate RPI, but that wouldn't help prepare them for their ultimate goal. They are better served by playing LCA and Lex Cath and letting the RPI be what it is.

I agree. If Boyle County is the team we think they are then they will be right where we think they will be.

Yes but the state needs to use Calpreps and it would be 10 times better.
