Beechwood will host Bracken County in Beechwood's final regular season home game. This will be game 10 for Beechwood so the Tigers have an open date next week. 

Beechwood enters the game on a dominating roll through district play. In their four district games played thus far, the Tigers have outscored their district opponents 232-3. The good news about that for Beechwood is plenty of experience for underclassmen and a well rested first team come playoff time. The bad news for Beechwood is they are going to likely get to the state semifinals having gone 9 weeks without facing a serious challenge. Beechwood junior QB Clay Hayden is in the top 5 in the entire state all classes in passing. He leads one of the top passing offenses in the state throwing to his underclass receiving corps of junior Luke Erdman, freshman Tyler Fryman and junior James Cusick, who are all among the leaders in the state in class 2A.

Bracken County enters this game with a 5-3 record in a bit of an up and down season. The Polar Bears have lost twice in district play to teams that Beechwood has defeated handily. That does not portend well for Bracken County. Sophomore RB Daulton Tarter is #2 in 2A in rushing and has crossed the 1,000 yard mark on the year to lead the Polar Bears. Tarter is also the leading tackler by far on the defensive side. Very nice season for the sophomore. 

Can the Polar Bears do anything to put the freeze on the Beechwood passing game?
