It’s a chore for anyone to win a state title any anything. Don’t belittle it. 

A long list of guys who toiled endlessly striping fescue fields on Thursday nights, washed 1,000's of jerseys alone on Sunday evenings, got the best out of undersized kids who were blessed with a lack of speed, and who gave all they had to their communities on Friday nights in the quiet corners of the small towns our wonderful state.

That said... Jack Haskins. I'm not sure anybody did more with schools that everyone said it couldn't be done at. Man was amazing.

Yessir, 2009, and the only loss of the season. 

Finished 14-1 in 2007 too. Lost to Lex Cath in the championship game.

Joe Washington at North Hardin would be in that book as well. Had a shot back in 04 vs. St. X in the qtrs. They were winning at the half, but couldn't handle the depth the 2nd half and ended up losing by 6-9 points or so. St. X ended up wining the semis and championship by a combined 90ish points. Safe to say, that quarterfinal game might've been the 2 best teams

As it still should be in my humble opinion.

Todd Shipley.. has had a couple of runs but 2015 getting to the semifinals and losing to a freshly merged South Warren team that would go on to win the state title in 4A that year. That team was preseason ranked last in the district without any varsity game experience on the offensive line.

I know you're wanting current coaches, no list of great Kentucky high school coaches (State titles or not) would be complete without Mojo Hollowell. (Henderson County, Owensboro Catholic)

 The Henderson City/County merger would have been a disaster without him. The 1976 football Colonels united students,parents and a community. The merger was unpopular and the two schools DESPISED each other. 

At Owensboro Catholic, he resurrected the Catholic program from the ashes. Mojo took over a team that had one of the longest losing streaks(36 games) in the history of the state. He turned Catholic into the powerhouse program (although NOT with an air raid offense LOL!!)we see now.
