Boyle takes the trip down US 68 to Campbellsville for their first district matchup of the season against a 4A top 10 opponent in Taylor County. Taylor enters the game at 3-1 while Boyle enters at an unblemished 4-0. Taylor County has some talent which is vastly different than the last time the two teams were in the same district but is there enough to slow down the Rebels and keep it close? Do we see a continuation of the history of these 2 teams which resulted in large Boyle victories?

My personal opinion is we see how large the gap is from the top 5-6 in the 4A top 10 to the bottom 4-5 of the top 10. May not happen until the second half but I foresee a running clock victory by the Rebs.

I think the gap you are referencing is wider than the gap between the top teams in 5A, and Boyle took care of that last week.

Boyle County is 10 - 0 against Taylor County all time.  The closest game was the first game in 1995 (17-7).  Most games in the series have been lopsided scores, including 35-0 in 1996, 70-0 in 2003, 76-6 in 2004, 49-0 in 2005, 57-0 in 2011, and 53-0 in 2012.  All told, 5 of the 10 have resulted in shutouts while 4 have resulted in Taylor scoring 6 or 7 points.  The only time they scored more than 7 points was in 2006 when Boyle beat them 68-26.

I see more of the same Friday night.  Running Clock.

I’m literally shocked that two people picked TC. I would think that would have to be one of the biggest upsets in years.

Well, there were 1-2 people that picked Danville to beat Boyle and we see where that went (and no, I wasn't one of those votes).
