This game will be very close. JH has proven this year to be able to move the ball passing when needed so offensively I think they will score points. Likely will come down to can the Dawg defense get stops against a good FS offense! Seems to be lots of motivation on both sides for this one! One of the best round 1 matchups in my opinion!

Taylor has had a bunch of injuries at the end of the year. It has been fascinating to watch District 1 play out this year. I would say that every team in the district is very similar in talent level and had a chance to win each district game. Very curious to see the scores between these 2 districts in the next 2 rounds! Tilghman will likely roll in this one against a very beat up Taylor Co team.

Game was called mid 4th quarter with JH leading 27-10. Mercer County did not want to continue game after an injury

I think Taylor has a lot of injuries. Last 2 weeks I think the QB, RB and best WR all went out and they may have had more injuries than that. Tough last couple of weeks for Taylor and gets no easier next week.

I might be crazy but to me Tilghman looks down this year. They lost against MNH and in a nail-bitter with Logan. I guess question becomes how much better is Logan County than these teams? Always felt like a physical, running team was required to beat Tighlman to try to keep their offense off the field. Each round of the playoffs against these districts should be very interesting!

Taylor County (if/when healthy) is a SCARY 4 seed…

According the KHSAA website seeding is as follows: 1. Etown 2. JH (won H2H over Taylor and Marion) 3. Marion (won H2H over Taylor) 4. Taylor

Also prayers for Etown player that was carted off early in the game. Hope he is doing ok!

Anyone know how the district shakes out with 3 way tie for 2nd place? Etown wins district with 3-1 record but JH, Taylor and Marion all tied at 2-2. JH beat both of these teams H2H so they should get 2 seed right? Tough holding call at the end of the game when JH was driving inside Etowns 20 yard line. Great fun atmosphere tonight. Etown has a lot of young studs!
