Franklin Simpson comes to town with a record of 6-4. Bulldog head coach Doug Preston faces the team he coached up until the 2020 season. 

Franklin Simpson has rushed for 3,160 yards on the season. Their leading rusher is Xavier Hampton with 993 yards on the season. Their leading receiver at 338 yards on the season is Brody Perry. 

John Hardin will lean heavily on Mr. Football candidate Cavilli Pittman. He has rushed for over 1,700 yards on the season, good for 1st in the state in rushing for teams in class 4A.

This game comes down to the ability of the Bulldog defense to slow down the rushing attack of Franklin Simpson and the ability of the Wildcats to limit Pittman to under 150 yards during this game.

I think Franklin Simpson comes into Bulldog stadium and comes away with a first round victory.

Give me FS they showed me something against Glasgow as it seems they are decent against the run and poor against the pass so JH plays into the strength of their defense.

This game will be very close. JH has proven this year to be able to move the ball passing when needed so offensively I think they will score points. Likely will come down to can the Dawg defense get stops against a good FS offense! Seems to be lots of motivation on both sides for this one! One of the best round 1 matchups in my opinion! 

The FS offense has shown a lot of life at times, I think they can score some points against the Bulldogs. I’m curious to how these Wildcats will be able to handle Pittman. SR year we all know we’ll get the best version of all the one’s on what could be their last ride. I like the # @Hardin County Preps put out there in limiting him to under 150, if FS can do that while also taking care of the football I do believe they’ll go on the road and come out victorious.

Franklin-Simpson played their best game of the season last week against Glasgow. I believe the Wildcats are peaking at the right time and they pull out an emotional win against a former coach.
