Nicholas County led 8-0 after one.  Brossart overtook the Jackets 10-8 at halftime on a 37 yard Field Goal by Tyler Smith and a Keegan Gulley to Tim Kitt aerial for a Touchdown.  Smith hit the PAT to account for our 10 first half points

At that point the Mustangs would shift gears on offence inserting Tyler Holtz at quarterback who pitched to Cam Mandel on our first offensive series with him under center, who hit Keegan Gulley the normal quarterback on a 27 yard touchdown pass.  When the 2-point effort failed the Mustangs had closed he gap to 22-19.  The game-winner would be a 37yark Landon Geyer run with 2:46 remaining in the contest along with a Tyler Smith PAT, giving the Stangs a 26-22 advantage.  A late game safety made the final score 28-22.

The Mustangs will get a stiff challenge when the Lloyd Juggernauts come to Alexandria next Friday night.
