This is a big win….regardless of it being in August.

Does the win with Jaxon at the helm make it more impressive, or should he be starting over Cole? Also is Cole injured, I did not see his name on the stat sheet from the Hoban game?

  • Congrats FD. I'm currently marinating my crow. As good as the defense is, the Jay Cobb experiment is over. He has more in state losses during his short tenure than Beatty had in 20 years.

  • Much better than anyone in Kentucky.

  • This is obviously a good win for FD. In their first 6A game, they travel to Louisville and take down Trinity. We’ve been used to seeing big scores in FD games, but this game shows they can grind one o

Dude. He ISN'T injured. Jaxon is the GUY.

This is obviously a good win for FD. In their first 6A game, they travel to Louisville and take down Trinity. We’ve been used to seeing big scores in FD games, but this game shows they can grind one out as well, despite many penalties. Those definitely have to be cleaned up. I think the Broncos definitely win out with their in state schedule, and they can beat Cathedral, too.

As good as the Trinity defense is, the offense is equally bad. It’s kinda crazy, to be honest. They are atrocious on that side of the ball. It was mentioned after the Bryan Station game how Trinity was significantly out-gained in that game despite the result. If BS doesn’t lay an egg, Trinity may be 0-2.

I am pretty confident in saying this will be Jay Cobb’s last season as the HC at Trinity. I’m not positive he’ll finish the season.

Trinity folks probably won’t agree, but this is good for 6A football. The big class was boring for a long, long time.

Alright just wanted to make sure cause it's not often that a team Benches their D1 committed QB for an underclassmen.

Great Win.  Seeing that classes in Kentucky don’t mean very much.  Seems like maybe 2-3 football teams in each class that would beat 95% of teams.

You are watching it in real time.

It's like Bob's Era never happened.

This is the twilight zone.

Again, hats off to the Broncos.

I feel your pain. This reminds me of our "Wolford Experiment." Frankly, I had never heard of Cobb before he was named Coach. Always thought it would be Coverdale.I had always heard our experiment was the result of Administrators and not the Athletic Department.

Who will get the Trinity job?

Who cares if he picked Trinity? A lot of people did. I think that's a bad look for football account.

I did not see this coming!

I had a feeling that this could be the outcome mainly because of Trinity's inability to consistently beat you in the air, they only had 54 passing yards in week 1 and from what the game looked like yesterday, they didn't throw it that well against Douglas. And because of Douglas's Dline it's hard to run on them. Trinity will continue to struggle against teams with a good run defense, if they can get their passing offense straightened up they'll be fine.

...and maybe some insight into the seemingly overall lack of discipline in the FD program.

The constant grabbing of face masks and pulling off of helmets by FD is not a good look. To their credit, refs will not call it every time and they benefit from it.
