The pick 6 ultimately decided the game.

Great defense by both teams.

  • Congrats FD. I'm currently marinating my crow. As good as the defense is, the Jay Cobb experiment is over. He has more in state losses during his short tenure than Beatty had in 20 years.

  • Much better than anyone in Kentucky.

  • This is obviously a good win for FD. In their first 6A game, they travel to Louisville and take down Trinity. We’ve been used to seeing big scores in FD games, but this game shows they can grind one o

Since Cobb, T has had an unwillingness or inability to throw downfield. This makes T much easier to defend.

Who cares if he picked Trinity? A lot of people did. I think that's a bad look for football account.

...and maybe some insight into the seemingly overall lack of discipline in the FD program.

Guys let's not get to upset here that was a kid who went to Douglass High School is just a supporter that don't even play on the team and was meant just as a joke, like many on here was saying. I still don't understand this who lack of discipline in the program. If you read some of the post on here, you would think that no other player or teams ever get an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty in a game. I coached for a number of years and usually teams that have a lack of discipline are not 71-10 a .877 winning percentage in just 6+ years of existence.  Yes, their hands were somewhat tied by the FCPS for their first 6 years and could only schedule (other than Scott Co.) 1 opponent per year and with 15-18 year old kids that are extremely talented and winning the way they have you don't want to brow beat them like coaches of the 60's, 70's, and 80's. I think everyone on here will agree that in the first year they were free to schedule games other than their 3 district games they have made a major upgrade to say the least.

I'm just talking about the overall number of penalties. Even @Hungover_in_Andoverhas talked about how much penalties have hurt them in the past.

Hands tied? Maybe on scheduling, but from the outside looking in FCPS swung the door wide open on day one for them to be the best team in the county and compete for state titles.

That's kinda shocking as Somerset was a pass happy team when he was the HC here.
