  • To be fair, I am not sure how much a loss to Boyle says about LCA. I don't see a team outside of the best in 6A that I would expect to beat Boyle head to head right now. If LCA beats Boyle,

  • Me too, I think LCA should be number one.

  • It does have value but Beechwood literally beat Mayfield by an extra point so they were basically even. Beechwood lost their best player. Mayfield did not and they gained one of the best players on th

LCA jumping over Mayfield bothers me. Mayfield beat LCA 2 games ago. Does LCA jumping over Mayfield bother anyone else?

There is an argument to be made, certainly. A couple of bodies on LCA that were not with the Eagles in that game last year, and considering the quality of win they had, probably makes the difference for most at this stage. The Hensley kid alone is just an unbelievable addition for them.

LCA not jumping Beechwood, I believe bothers me..

Mayfield has added some key players as well. LCA is missing their top rusher and top 2 WR from last year's Mayfield loss. LCA may have gained Hensley but they lost top players also. Two of those LCA players from the Mayfield loss were also key defensive players for LCA, and LCA just gave up 52 points.

Too many question marks for me to jump LCA ahead of Mayfield.

Seriously? What makes you think LCA can beat Beechwood? Recent history tells us different.

Recent history has no bearing on the present IMO. Beechwood losing a legendary Coach. LCA adding in a few big time players to go with what they have currently. I get it though, to be the man you have to beat the man. But I also wouldn't rank Bullitt East at the top of 6A.

With respect, because I know how good of a program Mayfield is, I have a hard time believing they wouldn't give up a large number to that Bowling Green offense as well. Lethal.

The point about additions to Mayfield is well taken, admittedly, I know very little about their additions to their roster.

LCA won a game that could have gone either way. They also gave up 52 points, so defense might be an issue.

One game outweighs years of evidence?

And I would have Bullitt East, Male and St. X all ahead of Trinity in 6A.

True but no one else in 2A has the offensive firepower the Purples have.

Mayfield isn't giving up 50 to anybody. Not even close.

Hmmm, I don't know about that.
