With due respect to one of the state's premier rivalries happening up north, I see this as the game of the week for Week 2 for the rest of the Commonwealth.

The #1 team in 4A, pursuing a fourth consecutive state championship versus a top 2A contender - and in the opinion of some, the true #1 of that class - that just toppled the #1 team in 5A.

The star power on the field may be unmatched the rest of the season:

Hensley and Boley. Photo cred to Caleb Lowndes of the Bowling Green Daily News.

Brady Hensley was the real head turner of opening weekend, lacerating Bowling Green's defense for nearly five hundred yards from scrimmage and seven touchdowns. Cutter Boley "chipped in" 342 yards and three scores through the air.

Bodner and Dawson. Credit to Mike Marsee of the Advocate Messenger (Bodner) and Prep Redzone (Dawson).

Avery Bodner got the jump on Gibson Southern with an 80 yard touchdown on the game's first snap on his way to 240 combined yards and two touchdowns. Sage Dawson was in command behind center, throwing for 311 yards and three scores.

And those are just the names floating around the Mr. Football conversation. That doesn't include Montavin Quisenberry, who will be the best athlete on the field this Saturday or Parker Chaney, LCA's top receiver and defensive back who holds several D1 offers. So many options for both teams and such a wide range of versatility amongst those options, it's a challenge to pinpoint who may impact the outcome more and in what manner.

However this game plays out, it's a special occasion to have both of these programs seemingly at the height of their powers. The way last week unfolded couldn't have set this up any better.

No Brown. KHSAA approved the transfer but Danville appealed it one final time knowing the ruling will be the same forcing 15 days of no Brown. He will be back for the Danville game though.

From what I heard was that the appeal was supposed to be up Wednesday but that must have been wrong.

Will this game be streamed?

My best guess is yes it will be streamed.  If Boyle got a sponsor, it will be free.  If not there may be a fee.

Do we know anymore about this game being streamed?  Will it be streamed either way for a fee?  If there is a fee how much is the fee standing in the way of making this game free to view for all?  Anyone?

I'm hearing it will be streamed for sure!  There may be a fee if they have no sponsor but that hasn't been a issue in the past.
