I think Owen Pitzer is the first Varsity LB off the bench since Josh Flood got hurt. 

I’m not sure if Lind is now getting time, but I think he can contribute. Unless you are huge, it takes a lot for me to notice an individual OL. He was getting a ton of movement in the run game vs Highlands and BW and finishing blocks; a pretty impressive player.

New Cath is a freshman only game.  They have played several freshman games this year.

What were the results? It's been a minute since NCC has had a true Freshman team. It's seems like it's always been a Froshmore team. Good for them.

Not sure of the results.  But I believe they dress close to 20 freshman.  And they have played some froshmore and freshman games.

The only game score I could find for New Cath's freshman team was against Boone County's froshmore squad back on September 7th, so I'd assume New Cath was also fielding a froshmore squad in that one. Boone County won 14-0 in Florence. (Also for a little reference, Boone County lost 32-12 to Conner on Aug 30, and lost 33-0 to Cov Cath on Oct 11.)

@Bredsdad @NKY KID, any chance either of you have any info on how things have gone for New Cath with their freshman football season this year? Any access to a W/L record or anything like that?

Highlands won the Championship in a blowout, and Beechwood beat Ryle in the third place game.

Campbell county beat new cath’s freshman 14-6

No the Colonels do not know that at all.  Better teams win, period.  Yes, it is that simple, cut, and dry.  Good teams don’t lose and don’t make excuses for losing.  When you lose, you lose because you were not the better team. Excusing every loss away in sports is getting old and tiresome…..teaches a crappy lesson to the youth.  And the lesson should be that you do not always win, so accept it gracefully, but respond and respond big because that’s what life calls for.

And in the end, it seems that Highlands responded big and is clearly the better team this year.
