It looked very sparse so no surprise to me if that is the number. 

Last April, four of the Reds' 8 home games had attendance below 11,000 but the lowest attendance was 9,192.

Let's go back to 2019, pre-COVID. Monday April1 vs Milwaukee the Reds drew in 7,799. They had 5 games below 12,000. 

Bottom line - it's April. It was below 50 and windy on a Monday night. Yes, 7,375 is low but it isn't drastically lower. Clearly losing fans though. Losing team with low expectations. I don't see how the Reds or anyone else should expect much more this year.

In the win over Tampa yesterday the bullpen and defense were spot on.

They still committed 2 errors defensively.

I believe many of the fans mood is apathy.  Better ways to spend money and time.  Winning cures all and there is little confidence that this organization can do that consistently.  The big thing I notice with signings and such is power and pitch speed.  How about contact and throw strikes.  This team could be competitive all year with a little bit of investment in bullpen and starting pitching.  Need at least 4 solid starters and most of bullpen needs to be quality.

Team/players/record is the primary reason.

Number 2 IMO is weather.

This team overall is really getting fun to watch, got some really good young talent 

bullpen was good yesterday but with just a decent BP this team would be over .500, need a good manager too, who brings their closer in the bottom of 9th in a tie game on the ROAD!!??

potential and possibilities are there if the Castilini’s want to win, 20 mil total payroll for the opening day roster, whew!!

I would guess all the above were factors.

Just read where Bally Sports informed the Reds that they would not be making their next payment to broadcast games, big changes could be coming 

Even when the team has decent expectations by their standards, attendance is always really bad April weekday games, especially Monday.

And if you were going to a game on Monday or Tuesday, just wait and take advantage of the 3-2-1 deal.

This comes as no surprise.

Betting against the Reds is getting pretty easy to pick and choose when to cash in. Always after they win, while scoring a bunch of runs.

The Reds score the first 8 runs of the series and then the Rays score the last 19 runs.  Maybe they made them mad or something!
