Danville Star On The Move

From what I’m hearing, it seems LCA is a leading contender for him. A lot of talent at LCA, worried that he’ll just get overlooked there but could be wrong.

If there is a lot of talent that he can't beat out, it won't be that he is ovetlooked. It will be that he finds the true level of his talent.

IMO, football recruiting is 90% on the God given size, speed and abilities of the athlete. All the talk about what support the player gets from a school, coach, program, etc is just noise and excuses

I gotta be honest, if Danville brings Clevenger back, like they had the chance to, they probably keep McClure and Brown.

Agreed whole heartedly on all of this, especially that next to last paragraph.    Although I will give somewhat of a counter, or another side of the coin way to look at the “grass isn’t greener

Yo! I'm gonna hang this up somewhere!

He would be a stud on any football team IMO.  He's got electric speed, and super fun to watch.  He would need the right fit in basketball.  Good not great hooper.  His bread is most certainly buttered in football.

I want kids to have every opportunity that they deserve.

With that said, I think it's sad that society has gotten to a place that allows high school students to essentially turn into free-agents. Program loyalty is gone.

He's talented enough. He'll get major D1 offers regardless of his high school. Any high school coach who tells him otherwise is more concerned about their own win/loss record instead of being worried about the athlete. Maybe I'm old school.

Rant over, have a good one guys!

Could Somerset be a dark horse in this potential transfer? This would be great for any program, especially Clay Clevenger at SHS!!!!!!

As much as I want to agree with this, I can’t help but to think that if a school fails to help an athlete out with their ability and talents, they’re failing they're student athlete. If they refuse to stream a game or promote their programs with the resources available, why not let the kids go somewhere that better fits their life goals?

Loyalty and representation is a two way street these days because things have changed in recent years.

Good point on the streaming.  Danville is one of few schools in area that doesn't have a streaming platform that I'm aware of.  Time to catch up to the times.

One of the benefits of the district tournament being at Lincoln this year was the streaming of those games.  I really liked that!

BCSN does a great job broadcasting all of Boyles home football games. You can also see a lot of their softball, basketball, and baseball games on team1prep.

The college offers Demauriah Brown gets at his new school will be the same offers he would get at Danville.

If you doubt the above, 2 of the top 10 recruits in KY for class of 2024 play for Taylor County and Knox Central. Both those schools lost by running clock in round 1 of last year's playoffs.

Agree somewhat but disagree also.  Lineman with certain size and agility don't need to be at a certain school.  Does Quisenberry get Power 5 offers last running the option as a QB at Garrard?  I don't think so.  He might still get FCS offers though.

Any of these kids ever say…man I want to go to Mercer or Lincoln ? Nope they always want to go where they have basically unlimited resources or they find the lord.

Agree that nobody in the area or really the state has had as much success as boyle.  Buchanon’s last few years had Mercer winning a lot of games and having more success than a lot of the teams in Ky but not on an elite level.  Since you brought up mercer and resources I would put there’s up against anybody’s.  Boyle doesn’t have anything like this.  There are a lot of NAIA/FCS that don’t have what Mercer has.  It has not translated to getting players in yet or state championship level success though.

Somerset's QB went D1 to UK.

Paintsville Kash Daniel to UK.

Just a couple from small schools off the top of my head. Yes, Quisenberry absolutely gets P5 offers if he is still at Garrard County. A special athlete is going to get the offers.

Correct on Somerset QB but he played in a state championship.  He was a pocket QB playing in a good offensive system that showed his strengths.  Again Kash Daniel was not playing a skill position.  Brown plays on a High School team that can not pass the ball at all.  They know they are running 98% of the time.  If he plays at Boyle Haddix is an offensive genius and he has the compliment of a passing game and another D1 receiver so teams can't 100% focus on him.  Quisenberry was on a bad team, running a bad offense and he was playing out of position.  That makes it a lot harder to get a power 5 offer as an undersized skill player.
