Danville Star On The Move

Featured Replies

I am interested in which one of our posters have the best source. We have Boyle County, LCA (guess or source info?) and not Boyle County posted in the thread. We also have the cryptic "sky blue", which may be a clue from another source? Anyone else want to share what their source is saying?

IMO, football recruiting is 90% on the God given size, speed and abilities of the athlete. All the talk about what support the player gets from a school, coach, program, etc is just noise and excuses

I gotta be honest, if Danville brings Clevenger back, like they had the chance to, they probably keep McClure and Brown.

Agreed whole heartedly on all of this, especially that next to last paragraph.    Although I will give somewhat of a counter, or another side of the coin way to look at the “grass isn’t greener

I don't have a source, but the obvious answer seems to be Boyle with their recent history.

Never made through more than 3 minutes of that show so no clue on that. Thanks for letting me know, although I still have no idea what it is supposed to mean.

We have absolutely no source or information but if a kid in this area is transferring and he's good in basketball and football you gotta add Douglass Woodford Co and GRC possibly to the list. Just for no real reason at all. #BigThings

Any of these kids ever say…man I want to go to Mercer or Lincoln ? Nope they always want to go where they have basically unlimited resources or they find the lord.

Well, let put it this way, Boyle isn’t hurting for ???. They have a solid booster club with, bingo. With per tax records (that are public tax records ) has over 100k in it. The have a superintendent, school board, and principal that gives the team everything they need to be successful. Excluding and not excluding Head Coach, staff, and facilities. Pretty dang close to unlimited.

101 of journalism, never give up a source but it’s all over his twitter… just a little research can go a long way.

The school he is moving to is on his Twitter? Please share who it is.

The school has done a nice job of supporting with coaching positions, but as you mentioned above most everything they use is paid for by the QB Club with a LOT of hard work.  You did mention the QB club and that is correct, but I just wanted to say that the club doesn't have a lot of boosters just walking in and passing out checks.  The money they do have is earned literally dollar by dollar.  Any school has the ability to do the same thing.

Oh hell no, didn’t mean dudes are cutting checks. Got to have people working. But let’s be honest it’s usually 10% of the parents doing 100% of the work

Yeah organize golf scrambles, coaches clinics, youth tournaments, bourbon raffles, spirit cards, schedule games, free shirt give always, paint and power wash a stadium. Rarely get a thank you and still have a parent complain their baby got a XL instead of a L. People are spoiled for the most part and I feel your pain.

and I’ll still take on hell with a squirt gun.

From what I’m hearing, it seems LCA is a leading contender for him. A lot of talent at LCA, worried that he’ll just get overlooked there but could be wrong.
