Austin Sparrow apparently withdrew his name because they weren’t as interested as other names. Mercer Co will do nothing to help their program by hiring anyone else. They had an opportunity to change the culture of their program and evolve some solid young pieces but here we go again.

As much as I want to agree with this, I can’t help but to think that if a school fails to help an athlete out with their ability and talents, they’re failing they're student athlete. If they refuse to stream a game or promote their programs with the resources available, why not let the kids go somewhere that better fits their life goals? Loyalty and representation is a two way street these days because things have changed in recent years.

According to the twitter thread, his mother put it out there first because they know how good Mauri is. If there’s a sure fire way to get recognized and opportunity right across town, why wouldn’t you do it? Regardless of who the Coach is, Danville has failed to bring the recognition and opportunities to the players like other programs do and if they want to keep their talent, they’re going to have to get over themselves and start adapting to the times.
