“It just means more” was a slogan the SEC came up with a few years ago to showcase that the conference is about more than sports. That got lost on everyone - both pro and anti SEC people - and people make it out to be the SEC was using the slogan to brag about on field/court performance, when in reality it was doing the opposite of that.

Knew this was coming. I think the bigger problem was Brandon Miller going 3-for-19 from the field. San Diego State’s defense was very good while it seemed like other than Sears and maybe Quinerly no one for Alabama seemed ready for the moment.

I think picking a side on the argument that Matt Jones is always trying to push is kinda dumb. But I do think when you aren't hitting from outside and a lot of your shots at the rim are getting blocked, mixing in some mid range jumpers isn't bad basketball, especially if you can make them at a good percentage.

But that's not what Nate Oats teams ever do.

Mid range jumpers aren't modern basketball...Nate Oats is too smart to allow his team to take open 12 foot jumpers. You have to kick it out for the long 3 or force the drive into traffic. That's the smart play.

Maybe Nate will be better when his extension with a big raise kicks in!!!

Not a good tournament for basically all the coaches people mentioned as guys they would have wanted to replace Cal with.

Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina, Alabama etc. fans down here in the South always suggest their biggest rivals care nothing about academics and make fun of each school's player's lack of intellect and academic progress.

Some did, some didn’t. Which Cal at least has a title and multiple final fours including at different schools on his resume. Those guys that people want to replace him with, can’t even make final fours or even elite 8’s. No resume and getting knocked out in sweet 16 would get destroyed here at UK by people. Especially when you are suppose to be the number one overall seed in the tournament and lost to a mid major.
