I think this one is competitive for 3 quarters, but Warren Central pulls away to win 62-50.

Pulaski is traditionally an uptempo squad in our area.  I thought they did a good job in regional championship “selectively running”.  It’s the most patient they have been to my knowledge this season, and shot selection was good.  They’ll need both those things to pull the upset off.

Totally agree. That's why there was such a difference between game #1 vs Lincoln and game #2 vs Lincoln. In Game 1, Pulaski ran, turned the ball over, and failed to get back and build a wall defensively and Lincoln had a hay-day shooting the ball that night. If they can control the tempo, I think everyone else is right in saying "It's March and anything can happen."

I'm expecting Warren Central comfortably from wire to wire in this one.

The regional final vs BG should have them laser focused now.  The Dragons are built for a deep run.

Warren has yet to play many close games.. clearly a great team but they haven’t really been challenged by anyone on their schedule yet?  Slow the tempo down- make it boring and you never know. Pulaski plays many seniors.

Where does Pulaski rank on paper as a quality of opponent compared to some of the western side opponents on WC schedule

Well of course, they were challenged pretty well by Bowling Green twice, including the very last game Warren Central played.  Bowling Green played deliberately - Central isn't ignorant of playing teams with tempo.  They were pushed pretty well by Western and DeSales back in December.  North Oldham was a solid opponent but they managed to keep them at arm's length most of the game.  Those Bowling Green games and Western and DeSales are probably it as far as ones that were games late.

As to how Pulaski County compares, I can only refer to the Massey Ratings to make that determination.  I would say other than the four games Central played against Bowling Green, they haven't played a team of Pulaski's caliber since the loss to Madison Central.  Before that, teams like Western, DeSales, Manual, North Oldham, Goodpasture Christian (TN), and Great Crossing were teams that Central has played that all rank higher in the Massey ratings.  Massey has Central with the 12th best strength of schedule in the state.

Warren Central up 10-1 with 2:54 left in the 1st.  Pulaski County called timeout - media break still pending.

17-3 Warren Central at the media timeout.  50.1 left in the 1st.

20-3 after 1 as Wells cans a three near the buzzer.  All Dragons.

Dragons sending the message early that they’re the best team in the state.

Dragons scorching hot in the first quarter.

Hard to stay with a team shooting over 70%.
