I see they are playing Danville in there pigskin bowl. Should be an interesting game, Danville has a new coach but return 2K rusher Demauriah Brown.

Oh really?  Didn't know Danville was going to be on the schedule.  I think I like it though.  I like the Rams playing great competition and I also like them playing someone they don't normally play.  Exciting news.  Thanks @Statsdontlie

Nice. I like how Raceland is starting to add more and more top quality teams to their schedule. They've always played local powers like Ashland and Russell, but now teams like Highlands and Johnson Central can only benefit them. I think its only a matter of time before the Rams win a state championship.

I like it.  I like it a lot.  Johnson Central and Danville will be nice additions to the schedule.  Plus, I think JC and Danville can benefit from the Raceland matchup.  

I was upset about Russell and Greenup County dropping the Rams from the schedule, but with these additions, I'm not so upset any more.  Maybe it was just time for the Rams to branch out of the area and let the other teams do their thing.   Can't wait to see the schedules complete.

Like I stated in the "Building Raceland Football" thread, it's been a slow and methodical process.  These additions are just another part of the process.  I like the way you think @gchs_uk9, hopefully that State Championship is close behind.  We shall see.

I'll preface this by saying I don't know the reasons behind Greenup and Russell dropping Raceland, but the optics are bad. If they're running from a challenge, that's not how you get better. 

Good for Raceland landing JC.  Danville doesn't carry the intimidation factor they enjoyed for decades, but that's still a quality pick-up. Raceland's doing everything it takes to get to that next level. It's coming.

I agree with everything you said DMC.  I have some people on the inside of both programs, and I have told them it looks bad to drop the Rams when the Rams are winning.  That was sincere to those programs and not a dig.  It looks like they are dropping Raceland for the wrong reasons.  But, at the same time, I understand why they are doing what they are doing.  When you have a few miles between the the three schools, they are worried about losing students.  But, not a good look. 

I'm excited about Danville and JC.  It may mean different things to different people, but I am excited to see those teams on the schedule. 

I agree, seeing Paintsville leave the schedule is disappointing.  I remember some amazing games in the series and, and like you said, it was a great rivalry.  I guess all things have to end at some point.  But, I'm sure we will see the Rams and Tigers in a matchup eventually thought.
