The Tigers explode at the end of the game to blow out Lloyd.  However, Beechwood Mr. Everything Mitchell Berger went down with an injury.

  • Just so unfortunate for a kid that means so much to this Beechwood team. I hate this for his Baseball season as well as he is one of the best pitchers in the state. I hope he has a speedy recovery and

  • Mitchell Berger, you were a great player to watch.  I am a big fan and will continue to follow your career.  Sorry you lost the rest of your senior year.  I hope you only come back stronger.

That was a fun game to listen to. Hopefully what they are saying about Mitchell’s injury isn’t true.

I'm absolutely sickened to hear this about Mitchell.  Positive vibes to him that this is not a worst case scenario.  I love watching this young man compete.  Congrats to the Tigers on the win.

Can’t believe Beechwood throwing the ball at the end of the game to run the score up. The game was won and they go empty backfield. Just wow.

Running up the score, personal fouls, player pushing a coach, coach pushing a player, Berger hurt, tough night in Fort Mitchell.

Sure do hope that young man is ok. He is a heck of a ball player.

Got to work on a new offense if Berger is out. Who better to test things out against than a tough opponent? Those last couple possessions we saw some things Beechwood has not run much of all year. Final score 34-7 or 27-7, what's the difference?

Lloyd played very well despite what the final score might indicate. It was 14-7 at halftime and Lloyd picked up a couple first downs starting their opening second half drive that could have tied the game up. They will be a challenge for anyone they face the rest of the way, including Beechwood.

MRI for Mitchell Berger tomorrow, so we should know the extent of the injury soon.

Agree.

Hopefully Berger isn’t hurt to bad. What an all around great player he is. If he is out, that changed the entire landscape of class 2A. Just a tough thing to happen to a great player and team.

Well at least there was no running clock like a lot of people predicted

Multiple injuries for the Tigers tonight.  Prayers to all the kids for good news when the dust settles. Hopefully all the younger boys remember how last years weekly injury string lead to multiple people to stepping up and still bringing the hardware home. There is a ton of talent on this roster still for sure.

And the 2A landscape just got real interesting for the end stretch.  Buckle up…….

Hopefully it isn’t as bad as they might fearing it is.

Prayers for the Beechwood player.

Is Lloyd the second best team on the eastern side of the state? Can they win a road game at Walton-Verona, Breathitt County, Middlesboro, or Shelby Valley? Based on this performance I still think the Juggernauts could find a way into the final four.
